I love when the title so precisely explains what the episode is, yet the show still so effectively subverts expectation. It was great to reunite the family after so long.

**Question about syncing issues: Some patrons have reported syncing issues when watching from streaming. If you're watching from a disc have you had any issues? It looks like the streaming version of the first episode is almost 2 minutes shorter than my disc version and I'm not sure why (I assume it's related to playback and why discs are released regionally).

Sorry for the inconvenience, I'm looking for a solution. I'm considering purchasing the first series on amazon so I can watch the streaming version, but am concerned it will then create a similar issue for those watching by DVD or Blu-ray.

It does look like the season 2 episode lengths are the same on my discs and streaming. 👍

*edit*  Thanks for the feedback. It seems my blu-ray runs the NTSC version of the episode which runs 4% slower than the original PAL version on streaming version so if you're watching on streaming it does not stay in sync. I'm truly sorry about that! I switch to the streaming version on episode 7.

Chris re: your question regarding whether they've told us the name of the tool the Doctor carries around - yes, he called it the Sonic Screwdriver in the first episode ("Rose").

Sync could be regional edits throughout, or maybe even NTSC vs PAL conversion. 23.967 vs 25 fps you'll either gain/lose time or interleave frames to keep it (which usually looks bad). Regarding edits, I know when it later came to BBC America they padded the intro with maybe 10 seconds of voiceover before the "Beeeeeeewwwwwww", explaining the show for folks like me who wouldn't know a crumpet if it... well, you get the point.
