This is my first Wes Anderson film and I gotta say, I liked it. A very photographic quality to the way he sets up his shots, and I found the storytelling to be very compelling-- but the music is what catapulted this film to greatness in my opinion.

This is arguably Anderson's darkest, most violent film. Haven't seen the 2 newest tbf. Solidly certain you'll really enjoy falling down the rabbit hole of his filmography.

Anderson really loves to pump you up with a bunch of laughs, then suddenly throw in some hugely tragic thing so quickly that your brain is still struggling to process it hours after the movie ends. This film's ending is actually one of the lighter cases of it.
