Paintball, revenge, dogs, murder?! This one had a twisty dark humor overtone that I found wildly enjoyable!

Peter Serafinowicz (the voice of Darth Maul) playedTim's arch enemy Duane Benzies. I enjoyed the opportunity to treat paintball as a war drama. I've only been paintballing once, in New Zealand, but after I moved to the UK I got involved with airsoft, which was much more fun. My club took it pretty seriously, we had a number of former soldiers who said it was like the fun part of being on an exercise without the crap parts. We typically played in full 24 hour scenaros held in the FIBUA (Fighting In Built Up Areas) training villages in army camps like Catterick and Senneybridge. A couple of times we played at Copehill Down, the biggest urban combat simulated village in Europe. There would teams from all over Europe as well. (It really was a rush playing while the actual army was exercising just a few hundred meters away. Challenger tanks rolling past and Apache helicopters going overhead!) I got involved because I was obsessed with Zombie movies at the time and mad about surviving the zombie apocalypse. Turns out there are online forums which take the idea super seriously (the central idea being that if you make all the preparations you would need to make in order to survive a global zombie apocalypse, then you will also have prepared for any real world emergency that comes along.) Anyway on one of the forums an event in Sheffield was being advertised for Halloween. It was an airsoft game in an industrial estate that was due to be demolished. The theme was Resident Evil with teams from STARS and Umbrella Corporation security. It was awesome, with a huge unlit urban landscape at night, with recorded sound effects of an "outbreak" and staff portraying incidental monsters as background to the main conflict. I haven't played in about 10 years now, but I loved it! Sorry! Spaced - yes, Colin will be a point of interest in future episodes.

Wow! I had no idea there were airsoft events so massive. That sounds honestly amazing! I'd probably be terrible, but I still think it would be fun!
