Back at it! (Patreon)

I'm getting back to working on page 29 this week, and the break was SO what I needed - I'm feeling way better about it! (Though I'm only partway through the sketch, and I am planning on doing my taxes on Saturday, so it may be a tight deadline still - I'll do my best and keep you all updated.)

I spent a lot of time sketching stuff from Skies of Arcadia, my old favorite game and one of my biggest aesthetic inspirations - both digitally and in my sketchbook, for the first time in a long while! I picked up some lighter pencils to help with my struggles with the permanence of traditional art, and I think I might spend more time with my sketchbooks in general in the future 🙂

It was also well timed for celebrating my anniversary with my partner 💖
