Despite my misgivings about Promises of a Wandering Hero, the story seems to be more liked than I believed, although the majority of the readers has voted in favor of a rewrite.

That has put things in perspective for me. However, I decided not to go ahead with the rewrite after all. Although there is a number of things I should have done better, it feels like a waste throwing away all I've done until this point. I'll stick to my mistakes as long as I can make them work.
