Hi,

I've been tweaking the skin material a bit today to try to improve it and wanna share some results. It's subtle though so open your eyes wide ! I've worked with some extreme lighting to push the limits.

I'm not sure which models I'll update with those changes but probably not many as it's not major.

First fix concerns the specular map since I somehow ended up inverting it a little while ago. I've put a screen of the modified specular details group node if you want to fix it on your own.

Second change is the bump value that's been halved (0.00075 vs 0.0015) because looking back it was probably a bit too much. I've put a slider in the UI however so you can change it as you like. Depending on your shot you might want more or less.

I also noticed the bump didn't play too well with the lip gloss option because glossed lips have a smooth look so I tweaked a few nodes to correct that.

There's still room for improvements of course but that's one step in the right direction. Overall I think it will give a bit more life to the models.

The pictures blur finer details but let me know what you think.

If you wanna get really close, I recommend the 16k bump maps, heavy but worth it.
