So where was this guy when every Wolfram and Hart LA employee was killed last season?

Ashtara Levin

I forgot how surprisingly deep this episode was... Regarding the prophecy and the added twist of having two vampires with a soul in the show - I always liked this idea, especially since even as "vampires with sous" both Spike and Angel are different. Spike went searching for his, as a means of redemption and for the sake of love, and arguably now needs to learn how to redefine himself (else we risk his relationship to Buffy becoming a Riley 2.0 scenario..), while Angel was cursed with his, and has had to live with the regret and remorse of his vampiric action, never finding peace or happiness, lest he risk releasing that monster back on the world - which as we've already seen in season 1 - had a profound effect on him when he DID manage to turn human again - he couldn't let it go and chose to go back to a life of misery. But aside from it being "Angel's show", so it stands to reason that the prophecy would be about him, there is actually a good clue that it is that regardless, in season 1 - when Angel is in the Wolfram and Hart vault, he is simply drawn to the prophecy, knowing inwardly somehow that it was important and that it belonged to him, he wasn't supposed to take it, they didn't broke in for that... I wish both my boys could have it, since I love both their characters so much, and think they both deserve it, but I also love the idea of Angel having to accept that he DESERVES to be happy, before he can actually become human and break the curse.
