YAY! I'm so glad you liked your tarot deck. Hope you enjoy it! PS When you read the Buffy children's book to your nephew...there's a dedication for all the tough girls who are also afraid of the dark. I always add "boys" because boys are scared too. Well, my six year old is!

Alley Box

literally adore them!! i don’t know anything about tarot but i’m already invested and learning bc of them haha and i can not waittttt to read that book to him 🥹

I haven't sent you anything...yet. Actually I haven't done it for any reactors I've watch so far. But even if I did, I would prefer that they not be shown on video. Sending gifts is a personal thing, not something that anyone needs to see. And that's why I don't watch unboxing videos. I'll watch other ones, but not those.

Megan Krajewski

Okay? Clearly some people either don't care or like her sharing the reaction. They could always just send a message or put in a note asking her not to include the reaction in the video.

Ron Fehr

I appreciate your advice, Megan. If I ever do send something to a reactor, or whatever he/she may be, I'll take your advice and do that. I'm sorry about posting my earlier comment, but at the moment I just felt the need to vent my feelings.

Tim St. Croix

I'll just copy/paste my comment from YouTube for this vid: The tradition is that tarot decks are always supposed to be gifted, never bought yourself, so Sandy did you a solid. The implication is that decks you buy yourself don't work while gifted decks do. (Big-Tarot does NOT want you to know this.)

Tim St. Croix

I'm sure if you just let her know that you don't want any gift from you included in an unboxing vid she will honor your request.

Ron Fehr

I was already given that advice in a previous reply, but I'm always grateful to find out that others feel the same way. I will do that if I ever send anything.

Sandy S.

You should definitely only do what you feel comfortable doing and what makes sense to you! ❤️

Sandy S.

I had a lot of fun reading the guide and how the creator made them so perfect for the Buffyverse.

One complaint that I have about unboxing videos is that people want to draw attention to themselves. They just want to hear their names mentioned, and that's not why they should be sending gifts to reactors. I'm not saying that they shouldn't, but that should not be their motivation for doing it. It just seems to me that most of them do it for that reason. Some have suggested, and I agree, that along with the gift, a note should be sent if someone does not want their gift shown or name mentioned.

angelcakes

lol I've never sent anything to a reactor but this is totally you projecting. maybe for you receiving a gift is something intimate so anyone that does it in any kind of public way is automatically disingenuous, but that's just your opinion. it's also a cultural thing, from what i've gathered Dutch people for example like to make the whole family watch when they open their gifts during Christmas. it doesn't mean they're doing it for attention, it's just another way of doing things that is more collective than individual maybe.

Ron Fehr

I admit it's due in part to my upbringing. It basically says not to do your deeds to be seen by men (or women).

Tim St. Croix

When I sent my gift I messaged her to say if she thought it wasn't a good gift (I have a reputation for being bad at gifting so I never know for sure) that it would be OK with me if she edited it out of the unboxing vid. She didn't and I was pleasantly surprised.

Sandy S.

That makes sense, Ron! I sent the gift to say thank you...but not for attention. That was not my intention. My family (parents, brother) is very gift-giving just in general for many reasons too complicated to list here. My husband doesn't get it sometimes, too, because he was raised differently than me.

Henrik Holst

Works the same in most families over here in Sweden as well in Christmas, you open a gift when everybody looks at you and you also mention who it's from.

Matthew Miller

I totally forgot to send a message with Fray. From what I can remember (shit, I can't believe it was 20 years ago) the graphic novel came out before the scythe was introduced in the show, so it was a super big deal, at least for me. I'm really pleased that it got to you and hope you enjoy it.

Foamy

Haven't read the comments yet. Just saying it was great to see Gracie.
