can not believe we are already at buffy s7....... I am so scared 😭 I don't want this show to end!!! pls NOOOOO

lmao, anyways, here is the schedule for next month for those thinking about their subscriptions and if you want to stay :)

**I am working on getting the Angel s3 wrap up uploaded now! just takes a while :)

and as far as the hurricane that came through Florida, I hope everyone affected is safe and okay! I am very lucky that it barely hit where I live.

'Crazy Ex-Girlfriend' or 'Don't Trust the B- In Apt 23' or 'Jessica Jones' or 'Fleabag' -- non-stop moments to react to in all of these I agree with another commenter. A lot of the stuff being suggested isn't up to par with 'buffy'. maybe nothing quite meets the 'buffy' standard, but i hope we pick something that is brighter and funner. i think we should stick with female lead, but if you are wanting ensemble, 'Skins' or 'Sex Education' or 'Euphoria' are great.

Another vote for Veronica Mars and The Good Place. I don't watch much genre TV so can't really speak to a lot of other recs, but both of these are different enough from the Buffyverse to bring a fresh angle, and are also rich enough to give Alley plenty of opportunities not just for fun reactions but the kind of analysis she's so good at (and which has brought her a large and devoted following).

I have to disagree with these. Procedurals don't typically make for good reaction content. Both shows have merit but apart from the metaplot it's basically the same thing every episode. Find who killed the stiff. Fun to watch but not a ton to talk about if the metaplot doesn't advance. If she wants to watch something in the same vein I think she would be happier with Wynona Earp or Lost Girl. They aren't as mainstream though so that might lose her followers.

Same could be said for most shows, buffy and angel included. Find monster of the week, kill monster, also dependant on the metaphor. Don't get me wrong, I like both of those shows, but they still follow basically the same kind of monster of the week format with the metaphor in the background. I was just trying to suggest something besides the good place etc. Wynonna was ok, lost girl was great as well. Excellent idea.

The Sandman tv series and Our Flag Means Death would be good to react to. Only 1 season of both so far though so maybe not the best if you want something long term to react to

"Veronica Mars" is an excellent show, and a spiritual successor to Buffy. Joss Whedon himself was such a fan of the show that he asked for a cameo, and a couple of Buffy alumni have prominent recurring guest roles.

If you want something new to react to (or just watch) you should give Unreal a go. It's not supernatural in anyway but it was created by Marti Noxon (Buffy producer) and it's so awesome. It's quite psychological. Only four seasons and it's already finished!

I suggested Veronica Mars after Buffy wraps up some time ago. Was told by another commenter that "No it's pretty much the consensus that she's going to watch another Whedon show after that". Unfortunately I hadn't gotten the script back then about what I was allowed to suggest.

since everyone in the comments are already talking about the future..... i think you would LOVE person of interest! one of my favourite shows and without giving spoiler, it does have a buffyverse actor in it! I think the first season is slow but once the bigger storyline kicks in the later seasons, it is wonderful :DD

My point made. Grimm and Lucifer are average shows and Lucifer after going to Netflix became unwatchable.

Pls no more joss whedon shows after angel their all stale in comparison to Buffy & even angel & yes I’m including firefly & dollhouse in the stale department. I’d say watch the first four season of the OG charmed it’s not quite as good as Buffy but it’s fun and engaging and the sister bond is iconic or maybe Vampire diaries or the originals, Ugly Betty is also amazing.

Charmed! The original ofcourse! I would love that and I think you would to. Dead like me is not very well known but very fun in a dark kind of way. And totally left field but Fleabag is amazing..
