At least you don't have to wait a full week now (as was your original plan before sickness) to see the finale. PS What about that ending :D

I’ve been behind on the edits and finally caught up. Not sure if anyone is going to see this, but… I wonder if when Alley edited this one she watched her talk and thought; “nope. The opposite is true.” Like how she said she wondered if it would take some self discovery on Buffy’s part for her to realize she loves Spike when in actuality it took her mom dying, her dying, being resurrected into a hellish adult life, and suffering from an emotionally numb depression for Buffy to allow herself to engage in a dangerous and self-destructive (sexual) relationship with Spike. Side note: this next comment isn’t about Alley but about fandoms in general. Psychologically, I find it so interesting that so many of us in the fandom hear Riley say “but she doesn’t love me” and we nod in agreement. And then hear Spike tell Buffy “I know you feel something” and we nod in agreement. Despite the fact that Buffy said and showed the opposite (in both cases) to be true. I’m guessing that maybe it comes down to how we’ve been brought up by the media we’ve consumed our entire lives (probably specifically in western culture) where the men are usually the protagonists and they usually were able to know their love interests even better than the women knew themselves because the story would end with the male protagonist being proved right.
