For a long time, I felt numb to everything, I couldn't feel emotion, if someone died, I couldn't feel sad, if someone said something nice to me, I couldn't feel happy, the only thing I felt was an empty numb pain, so I intentionally hurt myself, I wanted to know that I could still feel something, feeling the pain was my way of knowing that I wasn't just an empty shell. I did this for so long, eventually people started to notice, but they never said anything, I don't know about other places here, but I live in Australia, in a city that sees mental illness as a disease or as a weakness. There was no escape, until I found you💜 I know this was a bit dark, but in this community, I feel well enough to share this with you Caitlin.

In this community you’re safe! You’re so sweet 😭💗 - Thank you for being brave enough to share a little bit of your story with us. I’m sorry I can’t offer you the right words as I don’t even know what to tell myself when I’m going through the same things but I’m always here to listen! 💕

If you'd like to check it out, a stay artist made a fan MV for "Alien", it's really cute, sure to bring tears: https://youtu.be/h4bJOwUbIrQ If this happens to be in the video I will remove the comment but I just wanted to put this here so it doesn't get lost in case it isn't🩵

I honestly feel like you should just react to the ot8 versions of their songs. The previous members is not too popular in the fandom. But SKZ2020 and SKZ2021 are just the ot8 versions of old songs, so there are many ways to go through their songs. I'd say to react to the albums with the original tracklists(not the compilation albums) and just listen to the existing ot8 version.

Just a suggestion, there are so many ways to go through their discography so you should do what makes sense to you

2023-04-25 09:31:39 Personally I love Hyunjin as a lyricist as well. Like of course Han & Changbin are up there, but given a little more training Hyunjin has a HUGE potential. He’s a natural poet & when he masters applying that into song writing, idk how we can handle that 🥹

You put that out just as I was getting out of the gym and so I had to start it immediately ! I'm so glad you had a fun time on this rollecoaster of an album. Tbh one of my favorite about your reaction (living out how funny and knowledgable about music you are) is your honesty. About your like and dislike but also who you are. I relate very much with the depression (and Streetlight is... yeah.) And you choosing to be vulnerable and talk about yours... thank you. I have a lot to say about this album but i'm gonna shut up this is already pretty long. I would say maybe start with skz 2020 and 2021 then Levanter album (my pretty my forgotten one by her own writter 😭) then maybe do a slide to All In (japanese album) because everyone forget about Call and this is just a crime. Out of Mixtape, the I AM and CLÉ series only Glow, 4419 , School Life and Hero's Soup weren't recorded again if that helps ! Thank you for everything take care of yourself and see you... on another comment section lol ! 💛

Hi Caitlin, Streetlight is the song that always makes me cry. Like you I tend to isolate myself when I go through cycles of it. Having a reminder that other people go through similar experiences gives me a sense of comfort. So thank you for also sharing your story. I also wanted to share this from Anaise loves music (YT) on the inspiration for Streetlight -- // This song was written by Changbin when he was feeling lonely and piled up. He felt like he couldn’t tell anyone about his frustration. Though after writing this song, he felt he finally shook everything off of his mind. // Do you ever wonder how the streetlights feel? Standing alone in the streets, can’t do anything but shine for others. When the daylight comes in, it’s forgotten by people since it was not of use. When the night falls, they brighten up the road for the people on their journey. But, sometimes, if they feel tired, they feel like they just want to rest and have a night for themselves, not to shine for anyone but themselves, people will just call them selfish and complain about it. In the end, they will only be replaced by a new ones ‘cause they were labeled as “broken”. Once you get to know Changbin a bit more (like from 2 kids room eps) this song lands even harder because of the role that he plays in Skz. The members often refer to him as the "core" because he always tries his best to be there for everyone without burdening them in return. Thank you for the reaction <3

Yay, loved watching you hear these songs for the first time! Alien is one of my absolute favorite Han tracks (only recently taken over by Volcano) and means so much to me, so I was glad to see your reaction to it! And yes, a lot of the earlier tracks were in the guide which is why they sounded familiar. Wish You Back was also probably familiar to you because Han sang it at the Chicago concert for his solo song! I was so happy to get to hear it live!

Love this sooo much! So excited you were able to get to this, I was eagerly anticipating it! I would talk about every single song but I don’t want this to be too long and it’s probably already gonna be long enough 🤣 Just wanna say I agree with everything you had to say and I love all of these so much! Alien holds a very very special place in my heart because the first time I heard it I cried my eyes out (and I still get emotional every time) because music really touches me and means so much, but that was the first time when listening to a song that I felt that someone truly understood how I felt at a point in my life and still feel sometimes and felt that I wasn’t alone. I truly felt that, as another STAY once said, “somewhere in South Korea there is a boy who knows exactly how I feel.” I also wanted to suggest to you, when you reach getting into the solo videos, there is a fan made video for that song. It’s just an animated lyric video, but if you ever wanted to check it out that would be awesome! I love it so much and it makes me even more emotional, but I think it’s really great. I also wanted to tell you that I recently went back and binged all of your SKZ reactions from the very beginning and it just made me so happy and reminded me even more how much I love you reacting to them!! And I can’t wait for more SKZ in the future! 💙

This is one of my favorite skz albums (they’re all my favorite tbh) but this album just has so many songs that really hit my heart and make it feel like we’re really not alone in our struggles in life. It’s definitely a comfort album for me. Thank you also for being so vulnerable and sharing your experiences as well. Not just this video but always. I love how these songs were able to start a conversation and inspire that self reflection. I’m so glad you enjoyed this album as much as I do and thank you for everything that you do!

Han's 'I Got it' is genuinely one of the most well thought out and constructed tracks I've seen. I think he wrote it after being dissed by a variety show. I think they looked down on him for being an idol rapper? There's this creator who fully deconstructed the lyrics: https://youtu.be/IPM3FjETnrA - to watch in your own time if you wanted. There's so many double meanings and clever play on words that the lyrics videos just don't get. This is why he's one of my favourite rappers, he's insanely talented!

Akitsune.a

when changbin sings the world better listen

mingnahc

for "i got it" han actually used a wordplay bc i got it sounds similar to "agari" in korean and in korean it means sh*t up haha he's a genius

Afton Carlson

You need to watch Han's Scissor! You were talking about him being able to tear your head off and he referenced it in I Got It. There is a pre-debut stage I think where he performs it
