Hi, Caitlin. I know I'm early, and you haven't got your Patreon going yet. BUT I did want to start supporting your dreams ASAP. I love your BTS content and original work. I also look forward to learning about other groups with you. I'm prob your mom's age or older (49yo,) but as a former elem. school teacher, I love seeing the potential in the younger generations and supporting them any way I can. I have some old school recommendations for you, if you like. No need for reactions, just adding flavor to your musical journey. I grew up on Punk, Ska, Reggae, Alternative 80s and 90s, Brit Alt, etc.. so I like unique sounds and lyrics. To this end, I'd like to suggest you give a listen to some STRONG female artists who inspired me growing up. Bjork "Debut;" Tori Amos "Little Earthquakes;" and Portishead (lead singer Beth Gibbons) "Dummy." The titles in quotes are album names. If you search YT or Spotify, etc.. I'm sure they will point you to some of their popular songs. I adore Bjork and if you only listen to one, musically, this is the winner. Soooo unique! Tori is a cathartic release of female emotion to life's trials (She kinda went off the deep end in later albums, but I still love her for this particular body of work.) Portishead is triphop at its finest, and Beth Gibbons live is transformative. Anyway, those are my "Back in My Day" selections that I hope will inspire you and bring you joy. Don't get me started on my punk/ska/alt days... so kickass. I miss being in true Mosh Pits, not the violent bs incel boys have turned it into. Apologies for the long post.
