Hello !

For once, we have a death of a character who is old and sick, not during an epic moment or a full treason scene. And still, I think it's gonna be remembered a lot, because they showed it, we were close to him that much, and what happened before and after was so important. I said a lot how blind he is during that dinner scene, to think that only with words he can repair all the pain caused during years, but all of that represents his life in fact. During all of his life and all of his reign, he chose to stay blind about the intern fights, to ask inconsiderate demands to his entourage, who faked to accept it to please him.

The parents at that dinner might show some signs of peace, but Alicent said it : they are mothers, they love their kids, they're gonna do everything for them. And clearly, these kids can't be friends or allies, they want to fight, and everyone is gonna follow that move now that the King died. The only one who might survive everything, and find her place with grace even if she has to again step aside, it's Rhaenys. I admire the Queen-who-never-was, so much, but I would never envy her life.
