This story was cool for what it was : a real horror episode, with a living doll. And at the end, if you think about it, she's not doing big things : she speaks, she can disappear/reappear, but we're not seeing her doing awful stuff. And yet, we're scared of her because of the interpretation of the actors : that doll's voice is so awkward, this guy who is losing it, the little girl who seems frightened, the mom who seems lost… Good horror story, it's not blood everywhere or incredible action moments, it's when your mind is tricked.

And it's fun to do research here. This episode was out in 1963. When Chucky, the first movie, was out in 1988, and clearly that doll had more powers. And years after these two, we have another doll in horror movies, Annabelle. Like the name of the mom in this story.
