What's Halloween without some nondescript slime? The Gooper Ghost is a great example of my early work for Trigger Treat not quite understanding the point of pixel art. He was one of my first attempts to animate a character on the project, and my ethos for the art style was to make it "look like a video game." All this meant to me at the time was limited frames and big pixels. I've since learned enough to know this poor guy, as much as I like his design, is not very adequately portrayed, and I look forward to redoing his animations when we finish up on Tough Bippy. As for the gameplay side of things, GG was the midboss of the Lab level, and was intended to leave gooey trails behind him as he zoomed around the room. Whether these sticky spots would simply slow the player down or result in a death was never determined, as only the Pumpkin Patch level and the main bosses had been programmed as of our last build.
