Content

Ive been in the online content creation business for almost two decades now and the advice I've gotten consistently has been to batch create content so that you can spend more time on other things. I typically work from inspiration, so what drives me to make content is very focused and it has always been very difficult for me to sustain interest in more than one project at a time. However tonight Vidit came up with a really good idea for making smaller videos in between the big essays and I can already see it working.

Basically instead of trying to create multiple big projects at a time, I do a series of mini essays I can batch write, record, edit, and then trickle out release. These essays are still over 8 minutes in length each, and focus on examining one element of game design each. Tentatively called Tama bites.

I frequently want to go on long twitter rants about smaller ideas I have about Pokemon and this basically takes each of these ideas and fleshes them out into full pieces of writing. For example, I just wrote one tonight about VGC accessibility that began as a series of tweets and then became 5 pages of essay.

So since I plan on uploading more frequently and especially this month, this is a courtesy post to make sure to adjust your settings on Patreon accordingly. I charge per video, but you can set a cap of how much you would like to support per month regardless, so if you feel you can only support one video a month still, you can definitely set it up so that you can do that.

The Colosseum essay is currently being assembled by the editor and he assures me it will also be among the content I will be able to release this month. Its an hour and a half long and I am SO EXCITED for it to finally be out there in the world making everyone mad at me.

Tl;dr, plan to see much more of me soon and prepare your Patreon settings accordingly :)
