Adhering Bearings: Art (PNGs) (Patreon)

Greetings All!

Something that I love in the SRD with a number of uses that doesn’t get much love. Many peoples first encounter with their versatility came with Beau’s use of them in CR Campaign 2.

I loved the idea of them being used to set up a distraction, or to cover an area against creatures that ignore the ground in favor of walls or ceilings. So to split the difference with 1 minute and an hour, landing at 10 Minutes. These should be great for expanding some plans and outside the box thinkers.

As always, your thoughts, and questions are encouraged, especially with something often overlooked.

Description:

These ball bearings first came into prominence when removed from the remains of ancient arcana machines. When first extracted from the machinery, the talent for defying gravity itself when placed against surfaces puzzled academics. They were a great mystery and treasured oddity before they became understood and more commonplace. Now kept on the shelves of tinkerers and collectors alike, they still hold some small spark of magic. Capable of being replicated in mass, their ability is useful, albeit simple, to those who have encountered them before.

Tabs:

• These bearings will adhere to the first inorganic surface they come in contact with, allowing for use onto surfaces such as ceilings and walls.
• This effect lasts for 10 Minutes before succumbing to the effects of Gravity and falling. After being used in this way, those bearings must be regathered and cannot use this feature again until the next Dawn.
