A lot of people consider daredevil the greatest Comic book show of all time. Personally I think I love The Boys but my god DareDevil is a masterpiece. Especially seasons 1 and 3

this series and Jessica Jones are what got me back into comics and cbm after decades of not caring. from there i started caring about the MCU and i’m so glad that those two shows gave me that push. ❤️

I can explain the 'like porn--you'll know it when you see it' is actually referring to a real court case, but it's misquoted a little. It was about obscenity, and a Supreme Court justice said 'I'll know it when I see it' during an obscenity case in 1964. The case regarded a theater owner who played a film that netted him an arrest under obscenity laws. The non-answer is pretty famous, considering that Supreme Court cases are supposed to be more definitive than that!

I just admire the writers of this show. This episode is all fun and interesting in itself, for sure. Intriguing to think about morality, law, corruption, everything. But apparently, the essence of the episode is one more setup for introducing Fisk. They create Healy, this bad-ass, stoic, experienced, tough, hard-as-nail guy, professional, deadly, phlegmatic, not touched by anything. With the only purpose of being able to show that he is so afraid of Fisk that he would simply kill himself just because he gave up Fisk's name. The writers really set up Fisk character gradually, patiently, giving away just a little more from episode to episode, raising our expectations high, and making us feel how powerful and scary he is. Really, masterful. These guys now how to gamble, if the directors, actors were just a little less competent, the viewers may have got bored with the secret-mystery-boss character before he came into the spotlight. But they took this risk, and let the show build up suspense slowly, giving you a shock every episode... such a great piece of storytelling.

I completely forgot about that death scene omfg. I am so glad you're watching this I haven't seen it in years and have forgotten most of how the show goes. I think I'm appreciating it even more this time around esp now that it's confirmed Matty is returning. And just wait for Fisk's character to build and build, Vincent D'Onofrio is bat shit in this role. I do remember that very clearly. I used to sit and watch him and actually feel nervous forgetting he wasn't a real human that could do me personal damage lol ... and man I also forgot how good the writing is sometimes... "You wouldn't care if you could see the zeroes on this check. Yeah? Maybe you would if you couldn't." Matt's response *chef's kiss*

Aw don't skip the Daredevil into it's so short and so beautiful! The time you take to skip it the intro would already be finished xD 5:40 pretending to be blind xD lmao. Pretending to be a normal blind person * And doing that with the cane for the blind is actually how normal blind people do, and yeah the sounds it makes help them be aware of their surroundings. Humans can learn to echolocate to a minimal extent.
