Great reaction, mate. New here, but enjoying it so far! On Peter Jackson's King Kong... I feel like I remember some people hating it, but I was a huge fan. (Even played the crappy companion PS2 video game that came out around the same time. I remember at the time I loved the game but in retrospect... Meh.) Anyway, definitely watch that one IMO. As some people here said, it's not a part of this universe, but worth a watch sometime. For Godzilla, I remember being obsessed with the 1998 one with Matthew Broderick. I was so young I don't know if others like it or nah, but personally, that was my first Godzilla moment. Overall, loved this universe too. Giant monster movies, ya either love or hate them. Super excited to finish this one out with you. Cheers!

Godzilla opened that b*tches mouth and said "eat THIS radiation" lmao, but yeah, watching this in cinema nearly burst my eardrums 😭😂 Kong skull Island is good but no where near this, and has a lot of cheesy lines. Still worth the watch, especially for the sake of integrating with Godzilla in the later movies. 🤙

Absolutely underrated movie in my opinion. I remember seeing it in the theatres and being blown away. The sound design, visual effects, cinematography. Especially since the last Godzilla movie before this (1998 - Matthew Brodrick) was pretty meh. So glad you watched it and like it! The guy who directed this one (Gareth Edwards) is a visual effects guy and I think it comes across in this movie. His shots do the scale and magnitude of Godzilla justice while still being interesting and understandable. He also directed Star Wars “Rogue one” for context. Love this movie! And Brian Cranston *chefs kiss*.

Great reaction, you should definitely continue on with the MonsterVerse (MV for short lol). You were wondering about the order of the movies, Godzilla 2014 (which is this one you just watched), Kong Skull Island (2017), Godzilla King Of The Monsters (2019), then Godzilla Vs Kong (2021). The Kong movie you looked up with Peter Jackson isn’t technically apart of the “MonsterVerse” and was made in 2005, it’s also not the original movie. The original Kong movie came out in the 1933. Also the scene where Dr. Serizawa hands the Navy admiral his stop watch and saids the date August 6, 1945, that’s the date that the United States dropped the first atomic bomb on Hiroshima, Japan during WW2. The original Godzilla franchise started in Japan and most of the films are really good, especially the Godzilla films made from 1989 to 1995.

the Monsterverse is SO fun 🫶🏻 just watch the ones that are part of the franchise (the ones that come after this one for the sake of continuity lmao) looking forward to your reactions for the cast of Kong: Skull Island!! shh no one tell him 🥳

you really need to watch the snyderverse. in my opinion its better than 90% of the mcu

Yes watch King Kong 2005 it’s too iconic tbh

Modimus Prime

You don't really need to watch the Peter Jackson Kong movie. Great reaction btw, specially with the powering up :P

You should definitely watch Kong: Skull Island and Pacific Rim if you like these giant monster movies :D

Yes please do Kong Peter Jackson version. I thought the movie was actually pretty good as well. I think something to do with the low rating is that there's not too much dialog but I think for an action movie it worked I myself hate when the put too much filler in those movies specially with romantic stuff. This one didn't have as much so I was fine with it.

LOL the peter Jackson Kong is still a good movie to watch. it has Jack Black in it. not part of the monsterverse but still good to watch. I grew up watching the old godzilla movies (the ones where a man wore a suit and smashed miniature city sets). When Godzilla's tail started glowing blue, I seriously started getting chills and reached over to my friend saying here it comes! he was younger and didn't know atomic breath was coming...it was lost on him..LOL but not to me.
