Also fun fact that I only clocked recently, the actor for Foggy is the same as Pollux (the mute twin) in The Hunger Games

Not seen this series before and excited to watch it!! Have been meaning to watch this for the longest time!!

Jordy Van T Zand

This show is amazing!! Jessica Jones and the Punisher also have the same gritty vibe and would highly recommend those to

DarkStar 57

Definitely keep going on Daredevil!! It is something I've part watched before but with you covering the episodes, I think I'd be inclined to actually finish it this time lol! I actually enjoyed the Ms Marvel series, I think the final episode particularly was really good. Daredevil isn't too comparable to Ms Marvel. It's coming of age vs a gritty, dark hero story that intertwines with other concurrent series so its pretty layered in comparison to Ms Marvel, which has layers but will likely be explored in the larger MCU. I definitely understand your decision to veer away from the last two episodes, but I'd say at least watch episode 6, if you want to be prepped for The Marvels. I would strongly suggest checking out: - Jessica Jones - Luke Cage - Iron Fist They have a team up series (Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage & Iron Fist), called the Defenders. I would also suggest trying to watch them in order because there's an order to these shows which mean that some seasons won't really make sense without you having seen one of the other heroes seasons. You can easily find the "correct" order online :)

Princess Mia

pls pls pls watch daredevil and then move onto punisher (the shows are both super tied into eachother) matt murdock and frank castle are such incredible marvel characters

Jonathan

Yes keep going I’ve been wanting to get into the former Netflix Marvel shows

Lifehouse

Im glad you stopped with ms.marvel, it really did suck. I finished it in the hopes of a mindblowing after credits scene, it sucked. So dont bother. Daredevil is awesome as hell, the punisher and jessica jones aswell. The other 2 shows are so-so, these shows do get together like the avengers did in a show called the defenders, so there's your headsup incase you wanna watch more seasons of things.

alejandro valles

it really didn't imo, taste is subjective. i don't mind that Seb didn't think it was for him, but there's a difference between saying that and saying it straight up sucked.

Balazs Foldes

oh, I'm so thrilled you are goig into this. Lots of fun, coming in!

Ben Bass

Writing and action wise ms marvel did straight up suck. especially towards the end.

Darsy Smith

I'm glad you're watching this! Gritty is great, the violence gets pretty strong and it's easier for me to watch it 'with' someone and I've been wanting to watch it. Husband's less into ongoing stuff without as much time, so! One fun fact you may not know: Charlie Cox who plays Matt is British.

2023-02-09 06:40:13 Sooo I became your patreon just to watch you watch this show! ❤ So I think I have the right now to leave very long messages in here. *ahem* It's difficult to say if there's Disney+ shows as good as Netflix Daredevil, since the vibes are quite different. Although I'd say WandaVision and Moonknight were up there. You're right that what is fun with Daredevil is how more realistic it can be. Matt doesn't have outlandish powers, he only has supersenses the rest us training (even the way he fights in the show feel way more 'normal skilled guy' than in other marvel stuff. Matt gets tired, he gets hurt, he gets desperate etc.) and he's a 'street level' hero, I.e his villains are smaller-scale with no god-like powers, which doesn't mean they're not formidable or hard to defeat. They really showed in that show how defeating 'bad guys' is often not that simple, especially when it is a criminal organization. For my 2 secs of Moon Knight stanning here : Moon Knight is the closest to Daredevil we've had on Disney+ yet. On some aspects, I actually think that Moon Knight is equal or even better than Daredevil; mostly the amount of layers, metaphors, hints, rewatchability etc. There's just not that much to analyze and interpret in Daredevil. But that's not a comment on the quality of the production themselves, Moon Knight as a character just lends himself better for that type of story. On the other hand, Moon Knight still has a way to go to become as good as Daredevil was able to get. And for that they'd need to push a little further season 2 (because it *will* happen ><) into the NC-17 territory. I want this type of realistic, visceral battles, stakes and framing in Moon Knight. That's the tiny thing missing to make it as great. Because Moon Knight can be as much a street level hero as Daredevil is. They have similar methods and approach to things. They have a lot in common. That's one of the many fascinating things about Moon Knight he can fight like/with Daredevil one day, and then with his connection with mystic stuff, he can fight gods and supernatural creatures the next. He works in both realms, both scales of conflict. And then there's Frank Castle, or Punisher, whose buddy with Marc and creates the link between Moon Knight and Daredevil. Does it show that I want Matt & Marc to meet soon ? I don't know, I think I've been too subtle with my rants. Now they finally announced a revival of Daredevil with Charlie Cox *screaming of joy forever*, we'll see how Disney!Daredevil will be portrayed...hopefully not too far from how he was in that series.

Inhuman Paradox

This show was Disney too actually. Marvel Television was a Disney company, Netflix only distributed it they didn't make it. As well, DD S3 writers are working on the Echo show, so a lot of Marvel TV is still in Marvel Studios. In fact, you can see a lot of Runaways' DNA in Ms Marvel too.
