Hey guys! From seeing how many of you loved watching Heartstopper and the new people who joined for it (welcome) I want to do a poll for a show similar to it!

If you could comment recommendations and like the ones you want to see so I can get a good idea of what shows to put in the poll :)

I need something to fill the void Heartstopper left :')

I’m not going to lie, staring at your biceps is also quite enjoyable LOL. 😁😁 I’ve watched Heartstopper probably no less than 30 times so I’m quite obsessed . I’m even planning a trip to come to the UK just so I can see the filming locations of the show.

Please like me is a really good show. Not super similar to Heartstopper cause the characters are not teens but early 20’s LGBT. And its Australian based :)

I don't think there are any other series or movies that can compare to heartstopper in terms of wholesomeness. But Skam is a good watch. I only watched Skam FR and IT, so I can only suggest those two. It's originally from Norway though. In regards to movies, you could enjoy - "Portrait of a Lady on Fire". It's a French historical lesbian romantic drama. - "The Imitation Game", a biography of Alan Turin starring Benedict Cumberbatch! - "Jongens", a Dutch gay coming of age movie. - "Your Name Engraved Herein", a Taiwanese gay romance movie. They are way less wholesome and much more dramatic and tragic though. Other movies I'd love to see you react to (that don't really have anything to do with the lgbtq community): - "The Perks of Being a Wallflower" - "Marley & Me" - "Hidden Figures" - "The Theory of Everything" - "Annihilation" - "A Silent Voice" - "Un Sac de Billes" - "Schindler's List" - "The Pianist" The last three are movies set during WW2, so I understand if you don't want to react to them (or any at all).

Schitt’s Creek. It is Pure with a dark wit.

This is slightly an aside, but I’m hopefully optimistic that we’ll be getting something similarly beautiful in the MCU soon. Probably officially announced in the next year, and I’d assume as a tv series. Marvel has been slowly introducing us to characters who eventually come together to form the Young Avengers team in the comics, and the Young Avengers is a very sexually diverse group that includes a few gay, lesbian, and bisexual superheroes. 2 of the guys on the team form an incredibly beautiful relationship, honestly one of the best relationships in all of Marvel, that I’m sure will be a significant storyline and I can’t wait to see it brought to life on screen. 🤞🏽

There is a Dutch film called “Gewoon Vrienden” - “Just Friends” in the UK & North America which is very light but still heartwarming as two young men (both are out) fall in love & have to deal with their mothers’ disapproval of their choices.

Elite has a good LGBT storyline as one of its main storylines
