I was doing some research on Avatar episode viewership on YouTube because I am just that cool. Almost the entire of Season 1 is below average viewership of all the combined episodes. So be prepared for the hype of S2 and S3. I do like these types of episodes though, they are probably more boring on rewatch (I forget everything anyways so might as well be the first time lol) but they are crucial for setting up the characters and the lore of the world. I love me some action but action without purpose or meaning doesn't hit the same, so I value the episodes where things are setup for later. This series just feels like Appa is giving me a comfy hug

it's nice that you don't see these episodes as filler LOL. usually when i rewatch avatar i always start from s2 and onward but ive really enjoyed rewatching s1 with u! super stoked for you to see more as the plot & characterization develops!

So, the seasons are Book 1: Water, Book 2: Earth, Book 3: Fire. So that gives you a clue about which bending is being focused on. This episode has a special place in my heart because we get to see Zuko smile and laugh even though it was only for two seconds.
