Nothing is stronger than my love for Chris Evans.. Sadly not enough of him in this movie but it didn't matter because this was hilarious!

I've been anticipating this relentlessly. Thank you for doing this one. Imagine my disappointment when I showed this film to two of my friends and NEITHER OF THEM LIKED IT OR LAUGHED. It was devastating. I should've ditched them lol. The marketing for this was shit but it has it's own fanbase now. The comic is the original material so, obviously, the story and characters are way more fleshed out. But I still think the team did an amazing job.

Definitely one of my favorites. The script and the directing are just so clever. So many quotable lines as well. Favorite line: “Your BF’s about to get F’d in the B!” 😂 It’s criminal that it did not do well at the box office, but luckily it has developed a cult following since. Oh and Brie Larson’s song in this (“Black Sheep”) is still a bop in 2022 👌🏽

May I recommend following this film up with "Speed Racer" by The Wachowskis. They make a sensational double feature.

This film is just so much fun. The editing and animation along with the gamification and I guess comic style of it all, just so good. I had forgotten Chris Evans was in this and what role he played. I think it maybe was his beard that made him seem a little odd, possibly fake or just heavily groomed, not sure. Maybe it was his eyebrows? I said he needed his own tag on here 😂 I think Snowpiercer and Gifted are some other films people recommend a lot from him. I imagine most of his stuff has been recommended at this point 😂 I feel like it was somehow poetic with this film that your ex-Christmas tree came back for more 😂

Inhuman Paradox

So fun fact, the film's ending was actually a mess in production. The comic series hadn't ended yet, so the ending was something Wright had to write from scratch. Originally it was gonna be this super dark meta ending where all the video game stuff was actually in Scott's head and he was actually brutally killing all these people and was just a horrible serial killer. Then the ending that was actually shot and almost made it to the film is that he would've realized that Knives was the pure loyal girl he should've been with all along (Despite her age) whereas Romana was essentially just the impulsive side he needed to explore first. But ultimately they changed it when the final comic was released and Scott got back with Romana there (Which I'd argue made more sense in the comics cause Romana wasn't as flighty or impulsive there) and test audiences didn't like the idea of Scott ending up with a 17 year old (Even though the whole point of Knives is the ironic theme that the younger girl is actually the most mature character).

So glad that you finally reacted to this and glad that you enjoyed it! Great reaction per usual! Literally one of my favorite movies. I think Chris looks different because his hair is darker and he has that slight beard. Fun fact: Brie Larson actually sung her vocals.

Cellular is another Chris Evans film I would recommend. It's a fun action thriller.

I knew you'd have a lot of fun with this one, even if daddy Evans only makes a brief appearance haha. It's fast paced, the visuals are stunning, the music's great, the editing is *chef's kiss* and the jokes are non-stop. No, it doesn't make a lick of sense but it really doesn't need to, it's just like being thrown head first into a wacky comic book / video game mashup. Edgar Wright is an absolute genius director, and Michael Cera is perfect as Scott Pilgrim. Definitely one of my favourite comedy movies.

Gifted (2017) with Chris Evans is an excellent movie. Given your taste and ability to feel 'the feels', I think you'll appreciate the story/acting. Even the little girl in it as so incredibly talented.
