dude… I really thought this was an aot movie that I didn’t know about 💀 not a Star Wars fan, so it didn’t click right away lmao

Something you should do on your own time is watch The Clone Wars. The first season is a little hard to get thru but after that it really comes into its own and gets better and better. It really is some of the best Star Wars content made. There is so much to the story that is cant fit into the movies. Clone Wars takes place during the years in between Attack of the Clone and the Revenge of the Sith. Attack focuses on the beginning of the Clone Wars and then there is a 7 year time jump to Revenge which is the end of the wars. Clone Wars fills in much of the in between and really helps you understand the fall better. Keep up the good work!

Ahhh the one with the cringe Anakin lines 😂😂😂 I have to make time to rewatch these, maybe they’re better than I remember 🤷🏻‍♂️ ***Btw, nice save after the “come on their face” comment 😂👍🏽

AOTC is not a great movie, but it is definitely an improvement over TPM. Now episode III is a totally different story. It's better than the first two installments put together and then some. It's actually my second favorite film in the entire franchise, right behind The Empire Strikes Back. I'm glad you're doing this series. Everything will come together in episode III and it will explain so much about the original trilogy.

I suggest watching the animated series called ”clone wars”on disney+. it takes place betveen episode 2 and 3 and is about the clone wars that you hear yoda talking about at the end of the movie. It adds so much More detail and a lot of important stuff related to the prequels. The series gives the characters in the prequels and even in the OT so much more meaning and even brings in some new characters that are fantastic! Many star wars fans value the show highly and its definetly something worth spending time on, i can guarantee that.

I think if I'm not mistaken Samuel L Jackson requested to have his lightsaber purple

Mate, I advise to watch the Clone Wars before the Revenge of the Sith. It makes the fall harder.

Great reaction, as always! I pretty much like this movie. Maybe some bits are a bit slow (say, all the romantic stuff), and some dialogue might not be perfectly written (to say at least). Like, when the younglings have to help find Kamino - it would have been so easy for a nerdish youngling to note that you can see the pull of gravity on nearby stars, try to follow that. And the scene would make much more sense than Obi-wan alreay having all facts and just not connecting A to B. But overall, lots of good moments. Regarding Yoda not reading the minds of Palpatine: I guess obfuscation and being unreadable must be a primary skillset for a sith worth his salt. As Yoda explained it a bit more at the end, the dark side is now covering everything, making it difficult to see things through the force. I think you also see the basics of Palpatine's plan by now: he is basically behind both sides of this war. Through Count Dooku, he leads the Separatists (Trade Federation with their basic battle droid armies, Geonosians with their industrial strength, Banking Clans and Commerce Guild for their money and resources, and many independent systems for manpower and political muscle) and thus the isth are behind the droid army. But Palpatine is also supere chancellor of the republic, just managed to maneuver them in a situation where the voices of disarmament were stilled in the senate, and a grand clone army was accepted. And emergency powers were voted for the chancellor, only for the period of emergency of course, granting him extra room to do as he pleases. So, the Sith are also behind the clone army. They can't lose if they are with both sides...

Yeah, you might try the clone wars cartoons. It's not my most favourite stuff, but you may like it. If you decide to look into them, I definitely advise you to wait until AFTER watching Revenge of the Sith. There are some 'kind of spoilers' in the cartoons about how the third movie will go. (They pretty much came out after the third movie). (There are, by the way, a by-now non-canon Clone Wars cartoon series by the great Genndy Tartakovsky. It's a totally different animation style, very short episodes in the first 'season', much more artistic in my view, less kid's cartoon feeling. And those tie the two movies much more neatly in). Then came the newer, 3D-ish clone wars cartoons, taking a completely different take.

Fun Fact: the reason Dooku's lightsaber is curved is that it makes it fit better in the palm of the hand so its better for duelling. And Dooku is meant to be like a legendary duellist, which you can obv see here.

There is a lot of great setup in this movie, although it is not one of the best. Some great action sequences, but some odd dialogue choices, mainly from anakin/padme. Yes, pretty much everyone is in agreement that Revenge of the Sith is the best movie of the prequels, and by a pretty wide margin. Loved the reaction as usual and excited for next week!

The best thing about watching the prequels is to witness how everything clicks, reason why aI really REALLY hope that after episode III, you watch ROGUE ONE. (Specially if you are going to watch The Mandalorian at some point).

Michael Wicks

The reason why Mace Windu's saber is purple is because Samuel L Jackson requested it to be purple so he could see himself more easily in the battle at the end amongst the crowd of green and blue sabers,

You definitely should react to the Mandalorian on your channel. With the first 6 movies, you now have a great base for all the things they reference in that series, and you pick up on all the important details. The Mandalorian series is some of the best Star Wars content since the original Trilogy, it really is top notch.

And that makes him so iconic! 😁😁

I mentioned this in the last star wars reaction, not sure if you noticed, but Anakins mother was played by the same actress who played The Queen in "young Royals". I believe Episode was untouched EXCEPT for replacing a puppet Yoda with a CGI Yoda. Also, George Lucas revolutionized the use of green-screen and CGI in this trilogy, yes it may be noticeable, some may be bad, but there's some CGI that I BET you haven't even noticed because its so good. GREAT reaction by the way :)

I find it difficult to compare the original trilogy to these prequels. I feel like as an overall I find the prequels more enjoyable as the story is more interesting, but the dialogue, acting and other stuff like music is so much worse than the originals that the prequels do just seem worse. Anakin's romantic pursuit in this film was particularly bad and I have to wonder about the writers what they were thinking. Both Anakin in this film and Han in originals came across as very creepy pursuits. I only watched all these films once before other than Phantom Menace and when I did I watched them in numerical order. I think you can watch them in either order and gain different insights that might not of before. They keep talking in these prequels about the prophecy of supposedly Anakin to bring balance to the force. I guess in a way he ultimately did. I feel like these prequels add so much more depth to Vader and some of the other characters. I feel like the biggest strength of the original trilogy was the worldbuilding of all the different aliens and cultures as well as some iconic moments whilst the prequels strength is in more elaborate stories and giving more backstory to the originals

Anonymous

How you could think the music is even a problem with the Prequels is beyond me...

Anonymous

Probably was my bad with my wording there with grouping those things like that. The music wasn't bad at all with the prequels, just didn't grab me the same way as the originals did

Samuel

If you enjoy Hayden Christensen's portrayal of Anakin, I highly suggest you watch the movie Life as a House - it's one of my personal all time favourite movies, has some really powerful scenes, and Hayden plays one of the main characters, really amazingly. There's a bit of Anakin's anger in there for sure as well.

David Goodwin

If you notice in Return of the Jedi, when Luke cuts Vader's hand off you see it was artificial. A nice analogy to Luke who also has an artificial hand

Jacob A

are you planning on watching the clone wars series????
