Honestly a really cool episode, would love to know if the place in this is from the books/games!

Enjoy the reaction :)

i haven’t played the game or seen this season yet but i’ve heard a lot of people say that season one and the games aren’t really similar at all, but nonetheless the scenery is beautiful in this show

As a Yennefer stan, I really felt for her this episode. Considering her quest for more power, even giving up her ability to have more children so she can be beautiful enough (to be deemed worthy to serve where she wanted). And now she is left with nothing? That’s heartbreaking. But, also considering that others had been consumed by chaos last season, I do agree that there needed to be repercussions for the amount of power used at Sodden Hill. She would just be OP if she came out of that battle unscathed.

This was an intriguing episode. A lot of forest lore ties, not sure if they are all the same thing. It does seem like that witch is evil, she let Yen go just to see her suffer more I think. The robed people I thought maybe they were visions of people that had been the biggest help to each of them. For Yen I thought it might be a young Tissaia, though not sure why she was young- maybe she did help Yen when she was even younger. Was interesting that they mentioned Yen's father as well, clearly Yen knows who it is now, and not some farmer I'm guessing. Was also interesting that I think the room in the first scene with Yen's vision was the same room Ciri chose. Feel like there is some extra meaning there. Eskel sort of implied the Lechy was something more than normal and the spears that attacked the Nilfgaardians at the end of the last episode seemed like they were being controlled by tree branches similar to what Eskel did when transformed. So maybe the elves are either in league with it or being very much controlled by it. Feels like there was a lot to digest this episode lol. I am enjoying it a lot more than S1 so far, I think it being a linear timeline (or assuming so) helps it feel more tight and flows a lot better. I think the monsters/villains are also being given more backstory or context which is making them more entertaining.

yeh had to be some pushback with her using that much power. Though I suspect when she gets her power back properly she will be way more powerful somehow. With the vision at the start I'm wondering if it might be connected to Geralt or Ciri somehow in how she gets her powers back. Not sure how quick that will happen though, be interesting to see what they do with her character whilst she has no powers.

not even gonna lie, I also didn’t realize that it was Tormund last episode 💀 he gave me Tormund vibes because of his ginger hair but in the end I told myself “nahhh” 🥲

Gambit

I'm refraining from binging it so I can watch it with you! Loving this season so far but really interested to see where Yennifer's story goes. Ciri seems like she's headed towards some sort of choice between becoming some sort of witcher prodigy and reclaiming her throne/kingdom but i could be totally off! Great Reaction Seb! xoxo <3
