This did feel like it has upped the pace a bit compared to S1 which is great. Nivellen seemed nice but also he seemed like a trickster and untruthful so wasn't too surprised with the ending to his character there. One thing I found very odd was how much magic he was using, it was extremely excessive compared to every mage have seen so far. Not sure if that was the result of the curse or the monster even somehow, or something else we will get more info on later. This stuff around what is and isn't a monster was interesting and obviously made Ciri fearful of Geralt in that moment. I'm glad she felt safe enough to at least imply that she might be dangerous to Geralt and him to protect her. Yennefer alive so quickly was a bit of a surprise, thought they would have some bigger thing to that. Cahir being captured seemed odd, feel like he must have done it on purpose but not sure what his goal could possibly be. I think one of the big underlying things of this episode was the light silhouette thing. Human mage and Elf warrior, titled Fall of the Elders or something. I wonder if that child is or is connected to one of our main characters. Yennefer would be the obvious one being a quarter elf, so she would be probably the child of that child. Geralt possibly, the woman was the human mage I think in that so fits with who he called Ma, though I am also suspect whether she was his biological mother since he called out her name instead of Ma when in trouble. Ciri possibly in a long term history context is a possibility. Maybe even Cahir somehow, we know nothing of him yet. I feel like that might be an important piece later on somehow.

I am wondering if Yennefer is that child or grandchild possibly, whether Tissaia had a hand in saving/hiding that child and that is why she feels so protective of Yennefer. I would say she could even be the mother though I don't know that the timings would work out with being infertile with the mage conversion. I have no clue how old she is though. The silhouette could also be from a story from ages and ages ago. Just a random theory lol

Ain’t that some shit: I went to bed ahead in this show, and I wake up behind 😂

Ben Bass

if any of you are Game of thrones watchers here, Nivellen was played by the actor who was tormund giantsbane in GoT.

also got some lore for some people, i was hoping they would mention what a "Bruxa" is. A Bruxa is a vampire (Bruxa's are lower vampires. may i add, Geralt would not even have a 1% chance against a higher vampire, they are unkillable and can only be killed by other higher vampires)

Etoile2004

just finished the last episode haha what an amazing season

I knew he felt familiar to me, weirdly as the cursed version. When I saw him in human form I thought I must have been wrong and had no clue. I guess him with more hair is more familiar 😂

I decided I'll watch this series with you... I'd normally binge the whole S2... So it would be great if you do too 🥰 just kidding, I don't have time to binge watch anymore 🥲

I don't know if you've mentioned the game in the season 1 episodes, but if you've not played Witcher 3 and like playing games, you gotta get on that! :D Best game

Knights Who Say Sledge

When you get to the end of The Witcher, season two... PLEASE watch The Wheel of Time on Amazon on your channel, if you can. it is a great follow up as an a-list fantasy show to The Witcher. Thank you much!

If you would like to know a bit more backstory of the witchers, you should check out the movie ‘the Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf’.

A Vicarious View

The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf came out before season 2.
