i need to rewatch it cuz i barely remember anything of the plot but remember cavil being a daddy for almost 8 episodes lmaoo

I started watching for Cavill but, after this episode, I stan Yennefer. IMO Anya Chalotra did such an amazing job selling the character as a young, deformed victim when first introduced. So witnessing not just her physical transformation but also the evolution of her character, is just so entertaining for me (especially knowing that she has more to learn/she has yet to peak, power-wise). When Istredd tells her she lost the chance to be beautiful, and she responds with the line “I want to be powerful”, I remember thinking “Good for her” 👏🏽 Although it’s tragic that the physical transformation meant that she will not be able to bear any children. (As a male, idk why the idea of infertility always gets to me.)

We are getting a lot of saucy scenes this month 😏 I totally thought of Midsommar as well during that sex scene. This show does seem particularly difficult to follow with all the different difficult names for things so bound to miss a couple things when reacting. It's your reaction not a comprehension test so if you miss something when reacting, so be it. If it's important people will tell you anyways so I don't think it's much of an issue. There was a couple things I think you missed in this episode. First was something Jeff has already said- when the guy said "you will bear no more" he was talking about children. It looked like he took her ovaries out for the spell, might be wrong. The other thing I'm not sure you clocked was during the dancing ceremony there was a young Foltest and Adda on the outside ring watching. Can I also ask, what badgers have you been seeing? 😂

Fun fact I picked up from playing the Witcher 3 game for a bit. You mentioned needing silver to kill a werewolf early in the reaction. In the Witcher's world, typically he has two swords. One is normal and made of iron/steel for fighting people. The other is silver because silver is needed to kill any kind of supernatural creature, not just werewolves. I don't know if that really comes across in the show, but when you see he has two swords that is why.

SEB during the first scene in the ballroom with like all of the kings/queens and the witches and warlocks dancing, Tissaia de Vries (teacher witch) said hello to little princess Adda of Temeria and little price Foltest (the king who allowed Geralt to cure his Striga daughter/niece) so during Yennefer’s storyline, the adult (the king) Geralt was dealing with, is a child! also, did you not catch on that the Striga princess was daughter to her mother and uncle? I feel like there weren’t any incest jokes 💀😂

"It's like a weird badger!" You are so fucking cute 😂

Fun fact: the children in the magic school "graduation" dance are the incestuous prince and princess from Geralt's story (the one with the striga), you can see them in the old painting at the abandoned castle.

I was just about to ask about the kids at the party, if they were the same ones from the painting at the old castle. Guess they were.

Not sure if this has been mentioned in comments above, but the organ extracted from Yennefer's body were her ovaries and uterus. That's what was meant when she was told she could no longer bear if she chooses to change.
