AHHHH YES. Okay, you're such a brilliant storyteller. Remember when I said I'd re-read and had this sort of idea of where this was going? I was wondering if Pater intended to exchange Michelle to the demons for something. I love storytelling like this. You don't see it in media anymore; if viewers even SUSPECT that context clues are leading to something, they change the story. Anyway, this is honestly the best webcomic on the whole internet right now. I can't wait to see what happens next.
