Hello! 

And happy merry Christmas Eve Eve!! Hope you're having a cozy time with family and RESTING wherever you are. Take some time off and do something good for your soul. Like watch some k-pop content. Or watch us watch some k-pop content. Like this one - the 2023 MAMA performances! And speech! 

These groups KILLED it during their performances. The dance squads, the light shows, the seamless transitions between songs, the chili peppers! It was pretty great. 

I apologize in advance for times that we sang along too loud (or off-key). And I triple apologize for any loud noises ... we did scream a few times. I tried pulling down the decibels a bit and adding in some loud noise warnings. So hopefully we don't burst your eardrums!

when i tell you i was crying when watching the SVT performance and then UGLY crying when they did their speech.. LMAO i cannot express how proud i am of them enough and “proud” is truly an understatement. SVTs very first MAMA daesang!! i can’t help but just feel so happy that they’re getting the recognition they deserve! ik i don’t know them personally but they really feel like the most genuine and wholesome idols around. they are the best seniors to their juniors and always try to uplift their peers. i’ve only gotten into kpop around August of 2022 and no other group or artist in general has ever made me feel what SVT has made me feel. they truly feel like Home and they comfort me so much when i need that boost of happiness, it’s soooo weird LOL. they are truly a beacon of Light in this world and in my life. btw, do guys you remember in the SVT Game Caterers when they miraculously pulled that slip for them to have their own Youth Over Flowers special with the producer? well it’s time!! because NaNa Tour with Seventeen begins on January 5th, released every Friday!! all 6 eps are originally an hour long but if you purchase the show on Weverse, the eps will be 120mins long with extra content! i’m looking forward to it! :) PS - merry christmas and happy holidays to you both!! i hope you guys take this time to relax, unwind, and be with family!

I feel you on the K-pop comfort/rescue. Mine happened earlier than your events, but LITERALLY not hyperbole or exaggeration at all, BTS LITERALLY saved my life after my dad's death. I had moved away and had no friend group built yet, I had only my partner (we moved for his work) and I was away from family, his family, and our friends. AND THEN PANDEMIC HIT that following year. The healing I got from the parasocial relationship between BTS and ARMY and the continued community afterward dragged me out of some really really dark places. I will forever be grateful. <3 <3 <3 I am so glad that you've experienced healing and comfort as well!

SIDE NOTE: If you want to watch idols just jam out and have a good time, watch the AAA (Asian Artist Awards) performance by BSS (Boo Seok Soon) featuring Young Ji. They do 3 songs, an opening skit (that they didn't tell their tablemates about so it's hilarious to watch seasoned performers just play along with BSS improving lol. Then they did Fighting with Young Ji and Just Do It. IT IS AMAZING, GLORIOUS, SPLENDID, MY LITERAL HAPPY PILL! The whole video is about 12 minutes. Watching New Jeans, Le SSerafim, Stray Kids, ZeroBaseOne, etc jamming out and just enjoying themselves is contagious.

2023-12-23 23:46:44 I'm so glad you got the good subs for the acceptance speech! 😭😭 but man these boys have my whole heart 😢 woozi speaking of their struggles, wonwoo mentioning his mom, DK hugging everyone in the background to make sure they were okay, seungkwan shining a light on their junior artists and mentioning moonbin like I was a frkn mess when this came out. 9 years is crazy but I'm glad they can shine now. So proud of them, they truly deserve it all! Also the 4 language speeches? Huge flex haha love them so much! Thank you guys ❤️ Also, idk what you guys went thru last year but I just wanted to say you're both beautiful and strong for getting thru those tough times! Svt music has definitely helped me while I was at my lowest and wanted me to become a better version of myself.. you guys are doing the damn thing! Love you guys, Fighting 🙏🏽

Seriously tho ... BTS / k-pop / k-dramas came at a time when we were seriously struggling with life and in a way it brought so much healing and sense of calm and serenity. Literal life saving power in music and stories. And I am forever grateful for that, not just for me but for some of my closest friends. And I wish / want that for so many more people. If only we can get them over the whole "it's in another language" hump - they'll see the light! Sometimes it just takes a little bit of exposure to give something a chance. Then lives can be changed. That's what I hope at least. But yeah - so grateful for their music and their message 💜💜💎💎

Ending this video on that speech was the best way to do it - SO DESERVING. They've worked so hard and that feeling of even the host being like "finally ..." like a collective sigh, it's finally time! Beautiful speeches from everyone. Multiple language flex - nothing like hearing it in your own language, like they connect to the worldwide audience. And just the heartache they feel not only for the pain they've experienced but also just the heart they put into their music. Ugh, so beautiful. I'm so happy to be a fan!

A long time coming MAMA Daesang!! They have been working so hard for so long and I know we're only been introduced to them a few months ago but it feels like we know and can tell how much they care about each other and their fans. Their music is amazing and they're so talented and so wholesome and down-to-earth! I love them and am so proud of them! I can't wait to get back to LA and film the NaNa Tour with Allison. Totally saving that for the channel!! Resting for now ... but yes, saving some good stuff for when we get back ;) Merry Christmas to you too! Happy New Year!!
