Rip all the horses this ep lol Dont worry youll get sea shanties in a few more games :P I believe leonardo had artwork/designs drawn for the things shown here like we know for a fact he had the little glider thing planned, but i believe most if not all of his ideas werent sponsored by anyone who would employee him to build them. Similar to how Christopher Columbus first tried to go to the Portugese government but was denied so he went to the spanish one instead, in leonardos case however he was constantly ignored.
