Personally a favorite arc of mine, Gaara really shines here. I could've sworn he said, "Even with him by your side, you turned out this way?" Which hit me personally, just shows how much Gaara really loves Naruto. In case you didn't know, Gaara and Sasuke had a very bloody battle long ago in OG Naruto. Gaara also said "Let me show you my power of hate.", and transformed into Shukaku, the One-Tailed Beast. So, Sasuke is one upping him by revealing his Susano. Remember how Itachi also had a Susano? Itachi's was red, Sasuke's is purple. Afterwards Gaara joined the Sasuke Retrieval Squad and aided Naruto to bring Sasuke back from Orochimaru.

Something that wasn't included here was that Garra being so young was also a reason why he wasn't picked to be the leader. The villages have been bitter enemies for decades and the other Kage thought that having someone so young lead them wouldn't send the right message to the troops who'd be fighting in this war. The same reasoning was given for Ohnoki not being chosen; he's too old. Mei said herself that her village is the least trustworthy as they birthed the Akastski. The Raikage, while a dick, is the type of person you'd want to lead you if you are going into a war. He's battle experienced and very strong. I'll say it, Garra has been a better friend to Naruto than Sasuke ever has. Who could've guessed that when the series started 😅

Sasuke and Gaara fought each other as kids during the Chunin Exam Tournament back when Gaara was evil and Sasuke still hated Itachi, Sasuke was doing training with Kakashi and learned one of his jutsu,The Chidori,Sasuke got exhausted from using too much chakra in that fight leading to Naruto saving Sasuke which eventually led to Naruto's fight with Gaara in the forest you saw earlier, Gaara was a murderous psycho back then and it was all because his father( The Fourth Kazekage) hated Gaara for being a Jinchuriki after seeing his tailed beast rampage through the village after losing control and tried assassinating Gaara multiple times until Orochimaru killed him when he invaded the leaf village, Orochimaru took his identity afterwards to kill the Third Hokage,( this happened at the same time Naruto was fighting Gaara), it's surprising how calm and collected Gaara has become after that traumatic childhood.

Madara's "Project Tsukoyomi" translates roughly to "Eye of the Moon Plan", Tsukoyomi is the moon god in Japanese mythology,Naruto has a lot Japanese words that aren't really translated to English even if you understand the context within the show itself because it sounds cool or foreign,( such as Hokage roughly meaning "Shadow Leader" or "Fire Shadow" or Jinchuriki meaning "Power of Human Sacrifice").

The reason 8 tails is the key tailed beast is because he is a perfect Jinchuriki. It didn't show it in his battle with Sasuke, but he has a 100% connection with his tail beast. A sort of Friend-ship, giving him the ability to use its power at 100%. Sasuke "Defeated him" with black fire that doesn't go out while even submerged in water. You heard he escaped though O.o because he's a Bad Ass.

Something I find interesting is that we've seen in the past that the Jinchuriki are not treated well by most of the villages they live in, so imagine an Akatsuki member showing up to a village, defeating their ninja, and then demanding the village Jinchuruki. We know they have seven, that's seven whole people captured and killed. How many of them had friends or family even willing to fight for them? It kinda makes me sad that only 8 and 9 tails are left...

I love Gaara, he's one of the most well-written characters in the series! There's a lot of lore y'all missed from his childhood past in his younger (evil) days that I hope y'all will able to watch someday
