Preston is one of the last minutemen. The sole survivor has the option to join the minutemen and become the new general and rebuild the minute. The Sole Survivors story is changed in the storyteller and is a bit darker keep an eye out for "Vault 111 jumpsuit" The last stand is in the area of Lexington and concord which is the start of the american revolution. The synth are basically slaves to the institute the story teller sort of left that out. The railroad usually tries to implement good memories rather then bad ones. There is a good little civil debate within the railroad that you can hear on whether they should let the synths keep there memories like happened with glory the heavy gunner mentioned in video

However in the Storytellers version of the Sole survivor they have them go down a darker route as they do with most there characters.(Keep a eye open for a Vault 111 Jumpsuit towards the end of the series) The last stand for the Minutemen in game is in the area of Lexington and concord which is where the first shots of the Revolutionary war were fired. The synth are basically slaves to the institute the story teller sort of left that out. This is the main reason the Railroad tries to free the synths. Not all of them want there mind wiped because of the people they meet in the Railroad but they wipe them anyways as a precaution against the Institute, Glory is the only one we know of who kept her memory and its a bit of a controversial subject within the railroad itself
