I'm hoping you'll be into Cinder again eventually. I do like her overall direction, though her V4 and V5 is very meh overall yeah. V6 onwards definitely starts getting better (and has lifted V5 Cinder up a bit retroactively for me, but not much)

Right now, Cinder only cares about the powers of the meidens. That's all. And yes, its development is...slow and normal. But, it will eventually change. And Raven is also a total enigma at this point. We know nothing about her; except what they have shown us up to this point in this volume. But later, many will agree with him. In some aspects. Keep looking 😉👌🏻

You're spot on that Raven was in total control of that scene. From walking out with her face covered, so no one could read her reactions, to deftly manipulating the conversation to make Cinder and company change their months-long-laid battle plans with zero notice, all to increase the chances that Raven can create enough chaos to exploit. That negotiation is one of the scenes that makes this show worth rewatching. After seeing that Raven knew all along they had no plans to let her live, "...we'll be discarded", having her read Cinder as not only an egomaniac, but the one easiest to sway, find out what Cinder was personally interested in "he has the students with him, he has Ruby" "He certainly does", and then both offering it on a plate and closing the deal before anyone can think too hard. As plans go, "Make things messy and look for an opening" is not a great one, but a slim chance of survival is better than the zero chance she would have had if Raven and Vernal went with Salem's crew right away.

An enigma but someone we want to know more about for sure. Sometimes characters can be an enigma and it just makes them boring but with Raven, finding her motives and what makes her tick is fascinating 🧐

El Patitas de Molcajete Takamachi

Exact. It's a character that you don't know what she did or what led her to do what she did. And what it will do. Most (speaking specifically of the fandom) simply hate her for abandoning Yang; But we don't know why he did it. If I simply didn't love her, I wouldn't have saved her in volume 2. I would have let her die at the hands of Neo. He cares about Yang. And he protects her "in his own way." There is still a lot to discover about Raven. and when it happens, I know that many will change, or at least, will look at it with different eyes.
