Red better be glad it wasn’t one of the other Digimon Protagonists, he literally punches people/Digimon to Digivolve his own

Pokemon may be a more iconic franchise, but personally I think Digimon is vastly superior. Digimon is insane because the way they digivolve isn't set in a linear path like Pokemon most of the time, but in fact they branch out. Agumon don't necessarily have to finish digivolving at Wargreymon, in another season of Digimon, a different Agumon digivolve into a different species called Shinegreymon. In fact, Agumon doesn't even have to end up as a dragon in the end, it could even become humanoid. Digimon have infinite paths for evolution, whether it's cool, cute, strong, beautiful, ugly, scary, unexpected, sexy (it's complicated), and even poopy (I'm not kidding). I highly recommend checking more things out about Digimon.

You two missed out on one of gaming's biggest "Holy Shit" moments when you first meet Red on Mt. Silver. For context, Red was the protagonist for the very first Pokémon game (Pokémon Red/Blue or Pokémon Red/Green in Japan). You singlehandedly defeated Team Rocket, caught all 151 Pokémon, and became Kanto's Champion. Now a sequel comes along called Pokémon Gold/Silver, and you're now playing as Gold. You caught every Pokémon, became Johto's and Kanto's Champion, and you make it to Mt. Silver. Only to see a sprite that looks very similar. A battle starts and you see PKMN Trainer Red wants to battle. All you can think about is, "Wait, PKMN Trainer Red, as in Red, my Red from Pokémon Red/Blue?!? That's ME, I have to battle ME?!?". Red was no joke either, apart from Cynthia, Red is also infamously hard to beat as his Pokémon are lvl 80s. I miss those days. I'm hoping for a remake of either Gold/Silver or Black/White. Either or would make me EXTREMELY happy.

I love Digimon! I think Digimon for me personally is the better show but Pokemon has the better games (though I will say Cyber Sleuth was 1 of the 2 Digimon games I did enjoy)

FluidDruid

I love both but Digimon's concept, designs, games, anime and movies are way more endearing than Pokemon.

FluidDruid

Heart Gold and Soul Silver exist and are still my favorite Pokemon games. There's honestly no need for another remake.

Enchiladas

Knowing the how the Pokemon company is today and how they ruined the gen 4 remakes I do not want a remake of those.

Jason Rogue

I know, I play HG/SS from time to time, but they honestly ruined the music in those.

Jason Rogue

I've yet to play BD/SP, are they that bad? Is it the handholding? That was my biggest complaint about LGP/LGE.

Reggielacey22

Actually most pokémon trainers don't even keep there pokémon in balls like ash with Pikachu or nurse joy or many others

"I'm going to put $10 on Pokemon." Oh, Ken...

I love this one. I grew up loving both Pokemon and Digimon. Was kinda painful watching my two favorites for each series fighting each other. If you ever have the time I recommend TV series for both. First three of Digimon are really good. Pokemon would kinda be harder since it's a 1000s eps that just ended after 20 something years. But the show kinda like the games it's broken down into parts each own going with a different generation of the main RPGs. So every 100 or so episodes there kinda a soft reboot, with the main character Ash traveling to a new region. So can check one groups of seasons. I would go with seasons 17 to 19, XY & XYZ. It's was of best arcs. Love the characters, stories and battles.

Vexkun

True. Good thing about Pokemon can just check out different series, it's not really one long story like One Piece. The XY/XYZ seasons is really self contain. Can go in with zero knowledge and still enjoys it! Plus that Panda Pokemon Bethany seem to like from The Pikachu movie is one of main Pokemon is that series. :P
