Yeah, most of the characters in Abridged are just exaggerated versions of their canon counterparts. A notable exception being Mr Satan, who isn't even exaggerated; he's literally the same character. Yeah, Piccolo kind of got fodderized in the Buu saga. He peaked in his fight against 17. In Z, anyway. Don't really wanna say anymore than that at this point :)

I don't know how far you are in this current batch of recording but I mentioned a while ago about a unique opportunity to provide a comparison that is rarely explored. That is a look at the old DBZ having watched Kai first. This fight coming up is the perfect segment to do it on. It encompasses all the major elements that where changed between Kai and the original american release, dialogue, music and voice acting. I for one would be very interested to hear your thoughts on it and I would like to think other DBZ fans would be as well.

When the next episode drops I'm going to post a link to the original fight so anyone who wants to compare for themselves can as well. I'm trying my best to stay neutral so I don't sway anyone interested one way or the other.

It's a good thing they took Gohan's power and not Vegeta's or Goku's. If Gohan had enough to halfway revive Buu, then Goku or Vegeta might have been enough to fully revive him all on their own.

Yeah, it's a shame Piccolo is no longer able to keep up with the Saiyans. It's been a major complaint for many fans.

If you guys ever get around to watching Super then he might.....eventually....become one of the strongest fighters again. He's basically the main protagonist of the last movie that came out.
