This is a hella stressful episode. Magic is real?! Conspiracy and Moral quandries! Hard questions about souls and consent!? Characters we love under stress, and then it doesn't even give you time to breathe before the shock of the end fight. Ok, so this episode can be a little confusing. What happened at the end is the girl with the green hair named Emerald, her semblance is that she can create illusions that aren't real. But she can also control who is seeing the illusions. She made Yang think that Mercury was attacking her but in reality he wasn't. While everyone else saw Yang attack Mercury "unprovoked". So the footage on the cameras was real, from Yangs point of view it looked like he was trying to get a cheap shot on her.
