Regarding the Eliksni, I was always bummed in Destiny 1 that we never allied with them. All they wanted was to follow and worship The Great Machine. When the Whirlwind occurred, the forces of The Darkness smashed their home world of Riis as the Traveler abandoned them in real time. They looked and saw their destruction bearing down on them on one side, and their only hope of Salvation fleeing from the Darkness on the other. Then, after many years of travel following after the Great Machine in a desperate hope of survival for their race, what do they find? Not only has the Traveler chosen to enlighten another race other than themselves, but it seemingly chose to die for them as well. It sits hanging over the last city of Humanity, a shell of its former self. And yet the Traveler chose to enlighten them even further, giving them the gift to literally cheat death. This instilled a great sense of hatred in the hearts of the Eliksni towards light bearers and thus the war-torn history of the Fallen and Humanity's started in bloodshed. Following up on some interesting stuff about Mithrax, ironically this isn't the first time we've interacted with him. During the Red War, while on Titan attempting to locate a Golden Age Nuclear reactor capable of providing power to the entire platform system and Archology, we encounter a Fallen Captain and some of his crew. Over the course of 3 different missions, this captain runs ramshod all over us, taking advantage of our powers to further their own advance, even tricking us into a trap, though later, when they themselves were trapped and we accidentally helped them free, the captain walked right up to us; a literal wall of lasers and a few inches being the only thing that separated us as we looked at each other face to face. Then finally, upon reaching the reactor, we walk into the room to find the captain and a hive knight slugging it out. If we choose to kill the captain, the knight comes after us next and we get the reactor. But if we chose to assist the captain in killing the knight, he thanks us for saving him by bowing and offering the reactor to us before leaving. Our ghost is absolutely dumbfounded by this bizarre and uncharacteristic turn of events. Later on during the Season of the Forge, a familiar Fallen Captain takes up residence in the cellar of the barn house at the Farm, the social space during the Red War. Interacting with him began the exotic mission Zero Hour, which you've seen. Throughout the mission, the captain assists us in killing OTHER FALLEN in our attempt to stop Siviks from breaching the armory in the old destroyed Tower and recovering dangerous tech. We arrive to late to stop Siviks, but we finish him off just as well and receive the exotic pulse rifle Outbreak Perfected. The captain in both situations turns out to be none other than our good friend Mithrax, Kell of the House of Light. Mithrax never saw humanity as the enemy, only a fellow fallen race devastated by the darkness once so elevated and powerful thanks to the Traveler. Of course while Mithrax himself never actively engaged in any form of activity that would hurt or kill humans, he also never made any particular bid for a truce with Guardians either, preferring to stay out of sight of both the City and other Fallen houses, scavenging for Golden Age tech, safe quarters for his House, and any material he could find that could assist his people. The Vex unintentionally brought us together, though they may not have predicted how such a development would work out for them...
