5 of last 10 entries Trueshan has been pulled out as non runner because not getting rain or soft ground conditions, today is going good to soft, 2 group 1 wins last year & also Won a handicap in good style at Newcastle in June, 3rd in the gold cup last time out on good ground behind Kyprios & Stradivarius was good effort & with ground conditions suiting better today it’s looks unlikely to be beaten today hence being well supported in the exchange.

Rob Cross 6-1 Win yesterday with a solid average of 100.48, while his opponent Krzysztof Ratajski scraped through with just a 6-5 win averaging a low 89.03, although he hit 50% of his doubles this shows how below average his treble scoring was overall, Rob cross won players championship 24 with some impressive wins along the way against de Sousa & luke Humphries in the final, at the world matchplay despite cross losing to de Sousa July 20th which we profited from that day, he averaged a solid 103.98 over 19 legs which is quite impressive, cross has won the last 3 H2h meetings against Ratajski and the most recent was May 22nd winning 6-4 & not only did cross checkout a 170 but he didn’t miss any attempts at double in that game 6/6 (100%), Ratajski on his day is a solid player but has lost 4 of his last 6 games and doesn’t have a great record in European tour events this year.

Looking to make a Group 1 Hatrick today, beat ‘the platinum queen’ a consistent sort at york last time out by just over 2 lengths, but most impressively Won at Deauville 7th of August not only beating a talented ‘Minzaal’ but also finished ahead of the likes of Garrus, Rohaan, & Naval Crown.

Renoun for running best over 7f however drop back in trip to 5f which wasn’t a problem the last day out, one to beat on paper main concern would be wide open field of 19 horses & will have to avoid traffic in running the final furlong.

Reasoning 📝

10th outsider in this competitive 13 horse field currently Priced at 33/1 she looks a bit overpriced, rated 102 and only 13lbs off “Le petite coco” but is receiving 9lbs who is the market leader, Last season Shiraz was placed in a group 3, 2 and 1 and has only ever been outside the top 3 once in her 7 runs. Although her most recent win was in weaker company she did it with a touch of class and accelerated very nicely in the home straight on heavy ground. She has some stylish pedigree and everything suggests that the further she goes the better she will be so she potential of outrunning her odds. Sunset Shiraz loves a cut in the ground and it’s meant to be bottomless tomorrow so conditions look to suit on paper and she’s off a light weight. Trainer Gavin Cromwell is in decent form, main concern and part of the reason as to why she’s such big odds is hasn’t ran in 327 days but an extra year under her belt & ground favouring may have a decent each way chance here, however an unlikely winner in this competitive group 2.

Reasoning 📝

Kinross had “Al Suhail” beaten comfortably last time and I’d be surprised to see that form overturned. This Horses win at York looks to be the best on offer and he did it in an almost hands and heels fashion. Any bit of rain will be of benefit and he looks to be the class act in this race. I’m not convinced “Garrus” stays this trip and the cut in the ground won’t help his cause. Although this horse is conceding weight he looks the one to beat & conditions are to suit.
