Dirk Van Duijvenbode World number 13 is having the best year of his career form wise, July 8th he Won the players championship 18 beating Peter wright & luke Humphries along the way, before winning 8-0 in the final vs Gabriel Clemens, he reached the quarter finals of the world matchplay also towards the end of July averaged 103.61 in his 10-8 win over Searle, followed up by a 11-7 Win over Michael smith averaging 98, then lost to Danny Noppert 16-11 despite averaging a solid 97.45, a very solid consistency to be averaging these type of numbers over such a long format, last week in another European tour event he won his opening round 6-3 averaging 104.13, then followed up by a 6-5 loss although missed 5 darts to win the game, today he’s playing world number 23 Daryl gurney who has been hot & cold form wise, in Gurneys opening round game last week in the European tour he Won 6-1 averaging a solid 105.10, but then the following day averaged 86.84 and lost 6-0 to Michael smith, in Gurneys 6-3 win yesterday in this tournament he once again had a below par performance averaging just 89.85, these 2 players have only played once which was in 2018 & Dirk won 6-3, form wise Dirk has been more consistent overall not only behind closed doors at the players championships but also in stage events throughout the past few months.

Jonny Clayton HC has been a common bet for Patreon members throughout the past year or so & overall we’ve seen a high win strike rate on the specific games we’ve chose to bet on with him, back end of august Jonny Clayton won New South Wales masters & followed that up reaching the final of the New Zealand darts masters, over them 8 games he registered the highest checkout over his opponent in 7 of them match ups, the world number 7 faces Jim Williams ranked 79 later tonight, Jim scraped through yesterday in a 6-5 win averaging 89.88 & 6/19 on his doubles (31.58%), his highest checkout he registered in that game was a low 52, his doubling percentages on stage events have been much lower than Clayton, although Williams is well capable of taking out an high out, Clayton looks more likely with the statistics on paper.

Won the 1,000 Guinneas group 1 finishing 5 1/2 lengths ahead of Tuesday, prior that race Won here at Leopardstown in group 3 finishing a length ahead of ‘Agartha’ a consistent sort over 7 furlongs, Trainer is in good form with 6 of last 15 out winning (40%), Chris hayes on board looking to make it a Hatrick of wins, on paper looks the one to beat but my main concern would be the soft ground conditions as it’s an unexposed factor & May suit ‘Saffron beach’.

Harry’s Reasoning 📝

Currently priced 2nd in the exchange, She comes out top on OR and produced a very good 4th in the pretty polly group 1 last time out. Thunder kiss came 2nd in this last year and looks to have been layed out for this race yet again. We know she stays this trip and handles the ground. Recently front running hasn’t worked out on this softer ground so thunder kiss’ tactics of attacking late on look to suit on paper. I’ve been informed from connections that they fancy their chances this year and conditions look set up for a big race from her, that doesn’t mean it’s a cert, anything can happen, be sensible.
