Currently priced 2nd in the exchange, 4th week in a competitive race at York August 17th, prior that won at Windsor & has also Won 2 of last 3 rides over 5 furlongs At Ascot on good to firm & good to soft conditions at Haydock, Frankie Dettori on board for 1st time is interesting factor, he’s in decent form 6 Wins in last 19 rides, (32%) Cuban Breeze has won 5 times for David Egan since February & on paper looks a decent each way chance here tonight. Main concern is hasn’t ran at Newcastle before & doesn’t have the best draw in stall 8.

He produced some good numbers on his last outing when losing on the nod. He ran a small bit keen and took off when getting the gap. This slightly shorter trip today looks to play to his strengths and that was his first race for new connections. His last run alone has him on top in terms of numbers and he is running off the same mark today. APHELIOS is due to go up 4lbs next week so looks the one to beat on paper. He is still relatively unexposed and has a decent draw.
