Update (READ FULL) Yesterday -2.5 points (2.5%) minimal loss overall however disappointing after a solid 1st day my main horse finishing a close 2nd & Harrys Won & other 1 position out of 3rd place for money back, Bay bridge losing denied 7 Horses in a row from myself for an Return on Investment, we can’t win them all & that’s why we implement the staking plan every day, tricky card today at ascot I’m going with 1 & Harry has 3, cover bet is optional but I’d recommend as these are very competitive fields, personal preference.

Impressive Winner on last 2 starts, was a non runner here Ascot last summer, Ap O Brien has a solid record in this race, main danger would be Stradivarius won who this race in 2018, 2019, 2021 then 4th last year, although won for us last time I tipped early May Strat looks past its best form & although True Shan has won last 4 starts that was on good to soft ground and with the ground conditions today not suiting expect to be pulled out from this race later, Princess Zoe had a good 2nd in this race last year decent each way chance at 15/2 (8.50) however Kyprios looks the one to beat on paper.

This is 1 of my favourite darts tournament of the calendar year, if your new and haven’t see Wales we’re shared earlier in the week outright at odds of 2/1 (3.00), have now since shortened in the exchange, Willie o Connor & Steve Lennon made a great run in this tournament in 2019 reaching the final before Scotland, (Wright + Anderson) getting the better of them, previous 2 years they came up against a solid Australian performance & missed crucial doubles against Portugal (Jose de Sousa) last year before losing 5-4, they play Canada tonight and not only are both of Irelands player better rankings than both of Canda’s (Jeff Smith + Matt Campbell) but Jeff smith has lost all of his last 4 games & Campbell’s lost 4 of his last 6, expect a close match but Ireland on paper are the better players and if they don’t bottle their doubling chances they’ll get over the line in this 1st to 5 legs shootout,

Clemens/Schindler much stronger side than Spains Jose Justica/Martinez, unless Jose averages 95+ on his throw can see Spain struggling in this doubles game against Germany, Both Clemens & Schindler both having a decent year & can see them working well together as a duo.

2:30 Ascot- WALBANK - Cover Bet 2 Places (More Markets) @5/4 (2.25)

He has produced the best RPR’s out of this field and had a very impressive debut behind the well regarded Noble style and beat Redemption time and Royal Scotsman who have both since gone on to win next time out and the latter came 3rd in the Coventry stakes earlier this week. Walbank then followed this up with with a win at York when bolting up to win comfortably and still looked green so should have plenty of improvement left. I have worked out the splits and Walbanks recent win at York comes out on top. He looks an exciting prospect for a stable in good form.

3:40 Ascot- MAGICAL LAGOON Cover Bet 2 Places (More Markets) @5/4 (2.25)

Iim expecting this horse to shorten in the market before the off, his recent second on his seasonal return just behind Concert hall has worked out really well with the winner coming 3rd in the 1,000 guineas and 4th in the oaks. The third in Navan has also gone on to win twice since in listed company. The fourth Tranquil lady has also won next time out in group company so the form looks really strong. This trip should pose no problems and I’d be expecting more improvement from last time which should put him in a league above the rest of these.

4:20 Ascot- KYPRIOS @13/8 - Straight Win

I’d be expecting Trueshan not to run with the going likely to be firm, Stradivarius looks to be past his best now at the age of 8 and KYPRIOS looks to be the new top staying horse. He looks in a different class when absolutely thrashing his opposition last time out in group 3 company and this distant looks sure to suit. He is only 4 and is improving with each run. If running to the same standard as his last run he looks to have a great chance but if improving on from it could be a really exciting prospect. Trainer knows how to get one ready.

US OPEN - Golf Fancies ⛳️

This week looks to be a big challenge for the players as the course is setting up to play extremely tough with the rough being a complete no go. I think there will be a huge emphasis on ball striking and in particular irons. I think the chipping will be near to irrelevant as it looks so tough you are just trying to get out of it rather than play a good shot. As always form is huge coming into these tournaments, with all this said I am picking JUSTIN THOMAS to win. He is in brilliant form after winning the PGA and 3rd in the Canadian open. He is probably the best ball striker on tour with his irons being immaculate. When his putter gets going he can really hold a few and always seems to be there bouts on Sunday. An outsider I think who is worth a smaller stake is MATTHEW FITZPATRICK. He won the US amateur here in 2013 so is quite familiar with the course and is in the form of his life with a second in the Wells Fargo, 5th in the PGA and 10th in the Canadian open. Again he isn’t a big bomber but is solid, he’s a good ball striker and does little wrong. He has a top caddy on his bag this week and I think he could be bang there at the end.
