Galway vs Athlone - 2nd Half Most Goals - Irish First Divsion - 7:45pm 🕰

(Alternative option would be over 2.5 goals or over 1.5 2nd half goals, personal preference on angle)

Odds - Evens (2.00)

Advising stake 3 points (3%)

Without diving too much into reasoning, Before athlones last game, 6 matches in a row has seen more goals in 2nd half than the 1st, an aggregate goals from them 6 games listed,

of 1st half / 2nd half below

1/2

0/1

1/3

1/4

0/2

0/2

3 1st half goals to 14 2nd half goals within them 6 games, Athlone sitting rock bottom with 2 points & without a win since against 10 men cabinteely October 1st, (21 games) they have the highest average of goals conceded in the final 20 mins than any other team out of both the premier & 1st division, Galway are joint top in 2nd winning their last 6 games in a row 2 most recent by a scoreline of 4-0 against Wexford & Cobh ramblers, negative factor is they took early leads in both of them games, however 7 of the last 9 (77.77%) h2h games seen 2nd half most goals between these sides, and 2 last most recent matches registered 0 goals in the 1st half, also 7 of the last 9 H2h games also seen over 1.5 2nd half goals, shorter odds on that selection but personal preference.

2 Horse Fancies 🏇(READ CAREFULLY)

Course - Curragh 5:25

Horse Name - Hannibal Barca - Win

Odds - 6/4 (2.50)

On paper the one to beat is ‘Hannibal Barca’, finished 4th last time out in October 23rd 2 lengths behind a horse named ‘Luxembourg’ the winner who is a really impressive horse & arguably , reckoned to be a group 1 horse this year, under Joseph Patrick o brien now,

Originally I was looking at ‘Anchorage’ each way extra 3 places 5/1 (6.00) which Ryan Moore is on board but the market drift from 7/2 to 15/2 this morning has put me off to now avoid, also the rain today at the Curragh on paper looks more likely to suit Hannibal Barca, as prior last 4th finish finish in the group 1, Won at Salisbury on also on soft ground September 30th.

Course - Curragh 8:15 🕰

Horse Name - Echoes in Rain

Advising ‘Cover Bet 3 Places’ in more markets’

Odds - 6/5 (2.20)

This advised selection means for the horse to win however if finishes 2nd or 3rd it’s void bet & money back, back to back grade 2 winner last year form this year has been decent for grade 1 races, most recent run at punchestown finished 2 lengths 2nd behind arguably 1 of the greatest horses of all time honeysuckle who is unbeaten in 17 races, now the main worry is 2 factors, hasn’t been seen on flat since she was trained in France in 2019 & Rachel Blackmore on board who has been on questionable form this season, however a positive is trained by Willie Mullins & market support in the exchange.

Harrys Fancy & Double 🏇 (Harrys bets are separate to mine, whether you follow us both or not it’s personal preference)

3:20 Goodwood- NATURAL WORLD cover bet 2 places @9/4 (2pts):

I think this looks a two horse race between the top two in the market. I have timed their previous runs for 10F and they both came out the very same although AW is predominantly a quicker surface so natural worlds time looks that bit better. Although Lysander could very well win I think he’s far too short a price for what he has achieve. I think the cover bet is by far the value bet. On numbers I have natural world coming out on top and he has a much better pedigree suggesting he has a higher ceiling to reach. His last run was very impressive in listed company when having some strong derby entries off the bridle early. He looked to have the race before fading in the last furlong so this step back in trip looks ideal, he also ran keen that day so hopefully should settle better today. On paper I think he’s the best and most reliable horse. He’s proven himself at this level, ran the best times and has the best pedigree on offer. Although Lysander did win comfortably last time out it was in a class 5 event against poor opposition so for me he comes in here with too many question marks for such a short price. Natural world has the inside draw and if breaking fast and grabbing the rail he could be hard to catch.

WORCESTER Double

5:45- DUC DE BOURBON:

This 6 year old had similar hurdles form to Kauto the king but has since taken to chasing much better with an emphatic win last time out after a break. On paper that win looks good enough today but he should strip even fitter and have more experience today and I’d expect even more progression. Conditions will suit and all points to a good run.

6:55- FOUNTAINS CHIEF:

Another 2 horse race with the selection romping home last time out after some good bumper form. As a whole his bumper form looks better than anything sporty him has produced and he stepped that up with his hurdles debut. On paper the numbers of that run come out better than sporty Jim’s win and the selection looks less exposed and open to much more progression.
