Processor upgrades for Macs in the 1990s were commonplace...but earlier  models, like the Mac SE, weren't designed with them in mind. That didn't stop clever third parties from figuring out how to make them work, though, and they ended up offering ridiculous results.

One “upgrade” I’d be interested in would be taking the motherboard out of an older Mac, then putting in a modern Mac mini, but trying to keep as many of the other components (optical drive, mouse, keyboard, monitor, etc.) working as possible. Maybe that’s one for Action Retro. 😉 Bonus points if you spoof the “ready for PowerPC upgrade” sticker.
