I'm due for a new video editing computer, but the one I ended up buying isn't what I wanted.

I bought an M1 Mini when they first became available, with 16gb of RAM, and while it's a fantastic machine I find myself hitting that memory limit fairly often. So like you, I was hoping they were going to release the 27" iMac, with an M1 Pro or Max or whatever with the option with more memory(or even just a refresh of the 24" iMac with the same option) Ended up buying the base model Mac Studio, figure I'll sell the Mini to recover some of the cost. Didn't spring for the new display...yet. Maybe one day Looking forward to getting the machine though!

Completely unrelated to the video but I'm looking for a good first Sony discman or walkman to start listening to cds. Any suggestions?

Here's the TL;DR of the video I'm going to shoot about that: Other than the early models from the 80s, pretty much all decent-quality portable CD players sound the same. The entire industry really seemed to peak around 1994-1995, so unless you need MP3 playback, a Discman without ESP (or one that has the ability to disable ESP) from the early to mid-90s will be cheap, efficient with batteries and sound great. (As for why ESP is a factor...you'll want to wait for the video ;-)
