Windows 10 was supposed to be "the last version of Windows" with "feature updates" providing ongoing enhancements to the OS. But the recently announced Windows 11 doesn't look a whole lot different -- and I'm not surprised at all.

I tend to agree with the will for an overhaul, a rewrite. Sure, add x86/x64 compatibility through a separate component, but it's about time we get a new OS (with a new, long overdue file system).

It's really disappointing what happened to ReFS...lots of potential there, but Microsoft gave up on it too quickly.
