What about an e-commerce store to directly sell (without ebay’s horrific fees) some of the duplicate or otherwise unwanted items that you have refurbished, as an additional revenue stream for supporting the channel and projects? I’d definitely donate some time to build it!

That's not a bad idea, though I rarely end up with duplicate items! For the few items I've decided to part with, I've donated them to Free Geek since the revenue will go to a good cause.

It's actually already found a new home...I got in touch with someone who had a cosmetically good but nonfunctional 550. Since mine was in rough shape but worked fine, it served as a donor unit.
