There's something a bit unsatisfying about how this one turned out. Maybe it's because I wasn't successful in the end? Let me know if I should bother publishing this one on Friday.

I tried (and failed) to flatten a warped vinyl record

I bought a limited-edition vinyl record that arrived warped. I tried to flatten it. It didn't work for me, but here's a few options that might offer better results for you. I've had that same issue in the past and (after a good bit of research), came to the same conclusion. I think this video would be of value to someone new to vinyl and in the same predicament. I'd say it is worth posting!

I have bunch of records with similar issue. About a decade ago I have red in book DJing For Dummies by John Steventon about flattening records by using two sheets of glass and a hair dryer. Personally I have never tried this method. My DJ friends recommended to push a curve of the record to the opposite direction with a slight force instead. Sometimes it helped but mostly not. Especially when deformation was in the center of the record (cueing of such records is very annoying. Even slight playback adjustment of playing record could ruin the performance during a gig when there's no friction between slipmat and record).
