There does seem to be a tendency for the entity that does things differently to be vilified, regardless of how deserved it is. Also, in some cases, there seems to be a desire to have others enjoy something “the way you do”.

Bose products are for people like my dad. He loves music, and gadgets, but knows little about the technical side of either. He can also afford it, so i don't really care if he spends the cash on a set of bose speakers, it makes him happy. Personally i'm a cheapskate, and my Audioengine 5+'s do just fine
