Snapshot Sunday - June 4 (Patreon)

Hello there Patrons! 

Would you believe it's once again the weekend? Crazy how that happens. Anyway, we've got a TON of sketches to go over this week, so let's get into it! 

Commissions commissions commissions commissions! [Developers remix starts playing] But yeah, this last week was a lot of thumbnailing for commissions, and there's going to be plenty more of that this coming week as well! But I'm also going to be sure to set aside some time to get the remaining Macro March Growth Drive rewards done this week as well, as I want to get the art packs out to folks before too long. But that's a little bit of a tangent, probably due to the fact that a lot of the commission thumbnails are for macro content! And at quite different scales as well, as we have a bundle of house sized macros and another bundle of star sized macros, and plenty of sizeplay going on at the smaller scales with Edogz350's sketch, Marjask's sketchpage, and some personal warmups I did!

We've also got a couple pieces that are worth going over individually, notably the Retrospring drawing and the thumbnail for a Pride Month piece I'm planning. The latter is pretty self explanatory, I've got plans for a pretty large piece for Pride Month with a lot of my characters parading different flags that apply both to the characters themselves as well as a couple that apply to me and others that apply to the community as a whole. Interestingly (but perhaps not surprisingly) I don't have characters that would fit into a good number of different groups of LGBTQ+ (for example, almost all of my characters are bi or pansexual, and I don't think I have a single asexual character), so some flags that will be shown won't have a character that's directly tied to them. I am a little worried about possible correlation for identities and orientations I don't have characters for being misconstrued as disingenuous, but I'm probably making a mountain out of a molehill.

The Retrospring drawing is the first of what I hope to be a good source of pictures moving forward! I've always wanted to do something akin to the Tumblr Ask drawings for... well since the Tumblr days, so MANY years, and I just recently came across Retrospring, and was really happy with how it handled itself (specifically when it came to data practices and other things), so I'm finally getting around to doing something that's been on my list for countless years! I've already got a couple more drawings planned just from the initial questions I've been getting, and I hope it continues to be a thing that folks enjoy!
