Hey there Patrons!

TL;DR: This poll is asking if you'd like to see more posts of individual art pieces and/or image sets, or if you're happy with the current posting structure. (Read on for more information, this is one of two polls, the other will be specifically regarding post tagging.)

So as I mentioned in the previous Snapshot Saturday post, I've been thinking about making some minor tweaks to how I run the Patreon account, and want to get your feedback. Both in terms of how often and what kind of content I post, as well as how each post is tagged and sorted! This post is focused on the type of content and frequency, and I'll make another post for tagging. For this post, first let me give a high-level overview of what I'm thinking!

So starting more in earnest with the Macro March pictures, I've been making more individual posts for pictures that I would consider "completed", and while they didn't *start* with the Macro March pictures, that was certainly when they were most prominent.

Going forward, I'm initially thinking about making that a more consistent thing, doing individual posts for pieces that warrant it (things like commissions, personal illustrations, holiday pictures, etc.), but I'm still trying to figure out to what degree of completion a picture should reach before it gets it's own post.

That said, I've also received feedback from a few of you so far that the current structure of weekly summaries and monthly packs are perfectly acceptable as well, and while the feedback I have so far isn't from everyone, it's already enough to make me think about tweaking the initial plan.

So the main question I have for you is this: Do you prefer it when individual pieces and related image sets get their own post on Patreon? Or does the current structure of weekly updates and monthly art packs (with few, if any separate image posts) work better for you?

The poll below will outline some different options for how I want to change posting to Patreon. You can vote for your preferred option, but with this I would genuinely prefer actual feedback, so please leave a comment for how you'd like to see posts handled!

Additionally I do not have plans to remove weekly snapshots or monthly art packs unless there is unanimous desire to have those changed, so the changes outlined below will be additions to the current posting behavior.

With that, let me outline my Suggested Option:

  • Weekly Snapshots and Monthly Art Packs will continue in their current format.
  • "Completed Images" (in this case, anything that receives at minimum flat colors and polished line work) will get their own posts, with any alts and progression shots all bundled together in the single post.
  • Completed Images will be posted at roughly the time of completion (i.e. there will be no "WIP" posts outside of weekly snapshots), with the posts being standard resolution (High and Full resolution will be exclusive to monthly art packs).
  • Standard resolution "Image Set" bundle posts will be made for series of connected/related Completed Images after the last image in the series is completed. (This may result in reposts of previous completed images, and attempts to solve the problem of not having a singular spot for all images in a series and having to search through Patreon backlogs to find related images and without cluttering post tags.) These posts will contain all the images as well as a zip for easy downloads.
  • High and Full resolution Image Set bundles will be posted separately and only contain the zip files plus a splash image
  • All images, regardless of their inclusion in a Completed Image post or an Image Set post will still be present in the Monthly Art Pack for the month they were completed in.

Realistically, the suggested option above isn't tremendously different from what I've been doing for the past few months, with the only real change that would happen is I'd be more prompt about making posts for completed pictures (I'm currently sitting on a hefty backlog right now), but I realize that having all of the Macro March pictures posted individually might have been annoying to some, hence why I'm making the poll!

So when you get a chance, please give me your feedback! I'd love to hear what you think of how things have been done so far, and if you have any changes you'd like to see implemented! Likewise if you have a structure you'd like to suggest that isn't in the poll, leave it in the comments below! Thank you!
